“Amazing host - very relaxing property - great pool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2014

We were accommodated at this hotel at last minute after an Airbnb disaster in Anglet.

Host and staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort. They said of their concern "C'est normal"

Studio (305) was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Good kitchen equipment and bed. Balcony overlooking pool was spacious and relaxing. If you are swimmers, as we are, there is a wide 25m pool with much room for laps.

Overall a good place to stay in a quiet space close to everything.

Room Tip: Rooms vary in furnishings and kitchen supplies. 305 was much nicer than 408 ( if that helps). Host...

The hotel sign does not say "Anglet Biarritz Parme" it reads "Residence Hotel" and faces only in the one direction facing Anglet not the motorway which travelers come from. The hotel needs to put up on its site a detailed road map from the A8 motorway. I paid in full in advance for three nights but was obliged to pay 8 € addition for "tax" (?) before I left. I ordered breakfast for the first morning only but one was set up for me on the second day and felt obligated to pay for it. The breakfast was highly over priced18 € for two and worth only half that.
The A/C in the room was too hot for the three days and too cold when I came back later in the week for three additional days. I would have not have returned to the hotel a second time had the advanced reservation been refundable. The room was not cleaned after having left at 10AM and returning 3PM.The chamber maid came to clean the room at 3:10 PM, 10 minutes after we returned and were undressing. Service was declined. Only one daytime employee spoke English.
A light in the room was out for a few days. The bed broke the first night but was fixed by the staff the next morning. There were no hand towels, was no soap bars only a liquid soap dispenser. I had to buy a my own bar of soap! The parking was very inadequate only one handicapped spot was available in the late evening when we returned. Lastly, the Wi-Fi signal did not work. I after spending a few days in the area I found better cheaper hotels with better internet service.

Room Tip: Ask about the A/C first. I you have a car, book only the first day and, if you don't like it, f...

Don't look for the patent hotel name at the entrance of the property, it doesn't exist !
Reception is a bit austere but they’re helpful when necessary.
Easy parking close to the rooms.
Rooms are large and pretty well-equipped with view over the pool (unused off season).
The only down would be the mattress that doesn’t fit the usual standards.
Close to the airport you may hear a few aircrafts per day but that is not terrible.
Bathroom is OK and clean.
Good place to stay.

This is a practical aparthotel from which to explore Bayonne and Biarritz. Good parking and a great swimming pool. Staff are pleasant and helpful, but don't expect a full hotel-type service as that is not what it is designed for. Free WiFi.

I would never stay here again! They list that they have all types of ammenities, but everything is very run down and the pictures are not representitive of the quality of the place. We traveled with my 2 kids (10 and 12) their beds were terrible and the room felt very much like a soviet era dormatory rather than hotel or even a clean motel. The front desk would not give us enough towels for the pool and the shower. The room just did not feel clean and the bathroom walls were stained with something brown near the toilet. You leave feeling dirty!

Tip - Don't Stay Here! We unloaded our suitcases - family with 3 teenagers in a room advertised for 5-6 people and checked in. Lovely pictures on website but anything but that in reality. Communal areas scruffy and dirty looking. Was given remote control with the room key - were they frightened someone would nick it? One of the stairwell doors was locked so proceeded to use lift which came out in an outside corridor with windows opened to the elements. Came to door of the room that reminded me of a flatlet in a Butlins campsite and walked in to a rather grotty entrance hall/lobby with bunk beds to one side and bathroom door to the other. Bathroom had tile missing from wall, rust around taps and hairdryer with about 10 holes in the hose rendering it useless. Entered the lounge (rather reluctantly) to find shutters to one site which I have since found out housed a kitchenette which you have to pay to use. Sofas you would rather not sit on, let alone sleep on, and carpets you wouldn't walk on bare foot. Grotty bedroom too. Had to ask for additional sheets to make up the sofabeds as bunk beds were so small that my teenage kids would have had their legs hanging out all night. Other child slept on bottom bunk but had a view of a stained mattress above. Lifted mattress to reveal rubbish underneath. Mattress like sleeping on a concrete slab! Whole place made us feel totally unclean so spent the evening out and returned only to crash for a few hours before we dashed out as fast as we could to the Airport. I would pity anybody that had booked for a week. Totally overpriced and disgusting.
