“Good clean hotel but wi-fi didn't reach our room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

A good clean hotel with helpful staff. We stayed in a "Confort" room which was of a good size. We were grateful for the air conditioning. The buffet breakfast is excellent. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant there are many restaurants within easy walking distance. Our only slight frustration was the fact that the free wi-fi signal was far too weak - barely detectable in our room. Would visit again but it would be good if they could boost the wi-fi signal.

I spent three nights here in July with a group of friends, four rooms in all. The rooms were all good, big enough with excellent air conditioning ( and it was hot). Excellent breakfasts. Staff willing to help and always cheerful. Easy walking distance of the town centre and driving distance of most of the attractions in the area. It may lack the character of the old buildings in the town but the modern comfort makes up for it.

Spent three nights here in June 2013. The Hotel is relatively new and sits below the vine terraces within a short walk of the centre of the village. It's an attractive property with rooms to match. Our room was spacious, well equiped, and very clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. It offers breakfast (at an additional cost), and a few hot snacks/drinks etc, later in the day. We didn't have breakfast, preferring to eat more cheaply elsewhere. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant for evening meals, there are a large number of restaurants in Riquewhir to choose from. Be aware, the village gets very busy with tourists.
All in all, I'd certainly go back to the Hotel Le Schoenenbourg, and would readily recommend it to others.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front look over the edge of the village and the hotel's swimming pool accross a...

This is a modern hotel, very well placed to explore lovely Riquewihr by foot, with plenty of car parking. The bedrooms are big and well appointed. The hotel did not appear to serve dinner, but there were plenty of restaurants close by in the town. Breakfast was pretty good, though was not included in the room price and was charged as an extra.

Room Tip: Rooms are both front and back of this hotel. At the front you look at the town and outdoor swimming...

Just spent 3 days at this hotel and it was fantastic. In an ideal location for just wandering into Riquewihr, just a few minutes, where the choice of places to eat is extensive. Lovely views over the vineyards and really helpful staff how have a wide range of languages. Rooms large and comfortable, parking and a pool and sauna should the mode take you. It is also virtually slap bang in the middle of the wine route for Alsace so really easy for days out to explore the many wine tasting and picturesque villages located near by. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very surprised by this up market Best Western. Lovely room and en suite. Coffee/tea making facilities. Excellent breakfast and a good bar. Pool looks great but the weather was too cold to try it. Lovely location as only 2-3 mins walk into the lovely town of Riquewihr.
Helpful and friendly staff. Plenty of parking including secure parking (8 euros per night) if required.

Clean, efficient, well-positioned. Helpful staff. Excellent breakfast but restaurant closed for vacation! Easy parking within own gated grounds. Room starting to look a little tired: stuffy and air-conditioning ineffective.
