We had a long weekend 2 nights stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable excellent bed,. Bernie at reception is an outstanding individual, who knows what the guests needs and wants,and make things happen.
The food is good,nicely served and presented. So seemingly all is well,well it is, but it could be much better if attention to basic details would be given.
Here are some examples in no particular order::
The laminated menu we were given in the restaurant had a burn mark the size of a 2 euro coin on it in the left corner.
The sign in the entrance to the restaurant says WAJT. instead Of WAIT.( don't say no one?? has spotted that:-) )
No extra pillows or duvets in room.
Fittings in bathroom are loose-simple daily inspection by the maid would solve this,and other issues.
Specific instructions were given to waitress regarding allergy requirements,they were noted by her but disregarded by the cook.
No serious tourist information in the room about local attractions.
The TV in the room is ancient although it has basic channels..
No wifi in rooms.A wired network cable is available.
Electronic safe in the room.Fine.No instructions how to operate it.
At 08:30 i paid the bill,had a short chat with the lady at reception,told her will return keys in a few minutes. Waited for my Mrs to come down.Reception area was empty,except a couple who asked the lady a question.I then approached her to return the key so she asked me to wait and pay my bill-which I did just some 20 minutes ago and she accepted the transaction.Again-No attention to the basic details,
Coffee pot delivered to our table at breakfast was COLD!Did the waitress not feel she is bringing us a COLD pot of coffee????????Had to ask a new pot.
In any case: having Bernie around was a great help.
