Lunch and brunch at Hr. Skov - a combined café and grocer's gourmet store - is always a pleasure.
The restaurant and café has only got a few seats ( room for 8-10 families) both outdoor and indside. Very intimate. The menu is very simple brasserie- and tapas style. You order your food and drinks at the counter, pick any drink from the store and then pay before you are seated.
The staff serve charcuterie from local butchers and fx. Moule Frites. The Moule Frites - common mussels in white wine broth with lots of herbs and garlic, served with homemade french fries - is great. The charcuterie also flawless. The foie gras paté is good, wonderful Rossini Salmon and then local homemade specialities from the area. Fx. jam made from local berris, meat from local forest cows.
A cozy and relaxed place yet very high quality.
Its only open from 10 morning and till the afternoon around four. Not open in evenings at this moment.
A wide range of wines spirits, homemade products, local products and french luxury-products ( fx genuine rossini caviar ( wild/ not breeding) is also sold from Hr Skov's Grocer's store.
