The Moniatis Hotel is a hidden gem, tucked away in the lower part of Yermasoyia, only 4 Km from the massive dam, which has water sports and some magnificent nature walks.Transport links are excellent, the bus stop is only a five minute walk from the hotel and will take you into the tourist area of Limassol and beyond.
If you feel like a walk you can get to the nearest beach in around 30 minutes, but, the bus only costs around 2 Euros, so if you have small children I would definitely recommend the bus, or perhaps a Taxi. The taxi should cost around 10 Euros to Limassol and the beaches, but a word of warning, make sure the taxi driver has the meter on, or you could be in for a shock! You can ask at reception for a taxi and be assured that the Hotel only uses licensed taxis. My recommendation is Antonis, always uses his meter and nothing is to much trouble for him, just call him on his mobile, or ask reception to do it for you, his number is 99 196436, the hotel also have an arrangement with Panikos, another reputable taxi firm.
Well, I think that is enough about the area, it would spoil it if I told you more. After all, every holiday should be an adventure, and Cyprus has enough for everyone. Join me now as we go into the Moniatis Hotel.
The Hotel has definitely got that "Home from Home" feeling about it, spotlessly clean with the friendliest staff you will ever meet. It isn't just that your a guest, you join the family! The staff are multinational and they do everything to make sure you have a pleasant and comfortable stay. The rooms are well proportioned and have TV and air conditioning, and of course have en suite facilities. From singles to families this place has it all.
Food? well you can stay Bed and Breakfast, Half Board or of course Full Board, with, at the last count 3 chefs and excellent food, what more can a guest ask for? There is a light and airy lounge area, which also has a bar. The bar has everything from the local beer KEO to an excellent range of spirits and soft drinks - fancy a Cocktail, just ask!
There is of course an extensive menu for Breakfast, Lunch and dinner, ranging from egg and bacon through burgers, fish dishes and of course the local Cypriot cuisine. You can also order food and eat in your room if you so wish!
Just outside of the lounge is the swimming pool, there is also an indoor pool, (although this is only open when the hotel has enough guests.) Outside there are plenty of sun loungers, tables and chairs, so get a tan or eat alfresco it is entirely up to you.
Need something else? There is plenty to do and see, ask at reception and they will show you all the available excursions from the local companies, which can be booked and paid for at the reception desk, but, don't forget that Olympic Holidays have some really great excursions that you can go on, just speak to your Representative, the phone number is on the board in reception, or in person when they come to the Hotel!
Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view
