We booked this all a bit last minute but it turned out way better than expected. We have been to 6 campsites in France and this was the best so far. We had a static up at the back of the camp about a 4 min walk to the centre. It is a very quiet camp and while we were up the hill at the back it was still quiet. The main countries were French and Dutch but our 2 boys made friends quickly and played table tennis at every opportunity. The pools are clean and the slides kept them happy. The beach takes a good number of people away from the pools so it never felt busy. In fact we both commented on how pleasant everything was and how peaceful the place was. The lake is great fun and not at all cold. Canoe hire was €3 and really good fun; we paddled down the lake to the high dive board and grassy ‘beach’ area. You may need to book the canoes in the afternoon, but the mornings were no issue. There are also pedaloes that were fun as all 4 of us could go out and mess around together. The area is very pretty but as we were only there for a week we stayed on site most of the time. The camp shop and restaurant were perfectly ok and perhaps cheaper than coastal campsites. Great site, well laid out and a very nice place to spend a week.
