We love our stay at Chateau Damingy! Vincent, Corrine and little Paul are great hosts and really help make your stay comfortable. Our room was huge with a sitting room (sofa bed), bedroom, modern bath with a jetted tub and a solarium room. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained with nice little antique touches here and there. Vincent is an excellent cook (he owned a bistro in Paris) and will make you an omelet or eggs of any type at breakfast. There are lots of options at breakfast, which is included, cereal, pastries, toast, jams, cheese, meat, bacon and juice.
We used the chateau as a home base to visit both Bayeux and the D-Day beaches. The location was perfect and very quiet. If you are coming from Bayeux do not exit at St. Martin Entrees, but continue on until you see a sign for Zones Activities Damingy and follow the signs, once you exit the roadway and round the curve the chateau entrance is straight in front of you.
I would love to stay Chateau Damingy again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.
