I stayed at the Chateau de la Verrerie just for one night. After the check in procedure, a very nice lady gave us a quick tour of the chateau. The rooms have no numbers or keys. You really feel like you are staying at someones house. The common areas, such as the piano room and the library are great places to hang out for a drink or read a book. Really cozy and comfortable.
We were suggested to take the a theatrical guided tour of the chateau (free for guests). Although it was in french and we couldn't understand everything it was being said, it was worth it, as you get to see very nice rooms you wouldn't be able to visit otherwise.
The dinner at the chateau (a set menu) was ok. Forty euros seemed a bit too expensive for what it was though. The service is quite quick, so if you don't slow down, you might be done in just over an hour.
The room we stayed was very spacious. It had a massive fireplace opposite the bed, a comfortable bed, a good size bathroom with a relatively small shower and a separate bath.
Overall, the Chateau de la Verrerie was one of the highlights of our 6 day trip around France.
