Not much there really. We had a ticket from the Etrucscan Museum that got us in though. It takes 10 minutes. Use your time on something else in Volterra.
Open space and a place for children to play and to let off steam. You need imagination to see the archeologic implications of the work that is currently being done. Good views across the city.

There realy isn't much to see. But you get a combination ticket that gets you into the the theater as well.
There was no one else here when we visited and we were able to explore the site and put our imagination to use - so what was it like here, when....? Worth the walk up and a pleasant park at the top to sit and watch the world go by.
