“Worth a walk.”

We walked from Porta all'Arco and didn't see many signposts for pedestrians. Locals were pretty helpful and we found it in the end. Quite a big camp site on top of cliffs and some remains of Etrucan walls. Some good views over country side but I have a feeling The Balze itself can be seen better from roadway below.

“Spectacular views across Tuscany”

Not for those with a fear of heights! The walk along the cliff edge is spectacular (well protected with a fence and lots of warnings) and the views are amazing. It's sad to think the monastery on the edge of the cliff is slowly moving towards destruction-see it before it goes.
