“Returned and loved it even more!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

It is not possible to find a more beautiful, friendly, clean and magical hotel in the South of Sardinia!!!

We returned to the very well family run Hotel La Corte Rosada in September 2012 and it was even more magical than before....not that I thought that was possible. :0)
We thank Mamma Teresa, Cinzia, Marina, Alex and Paolo for such a wonderful stay. They make you feel like a member of their family while offering a very private and relaxed environment. Our beautiful and spotless room was a duplex, with a large sitting room area, large bedroom, lots of storage so you feel so at home you do not want to leave again!!! Our room had a large balcony which was so peaceful to relax in after a day at the beach!!

The FOOD is exquisite Italian food cooked with so much love by Cinzia. There is so much choice on the menu, it is all so tasty you can close your eyes, point at the menu and you will not be disappointed. You receive a lovely selection of antipasti, main pasta dish, then a meat or fish dish and a lovely side dish. Then enjoy beautiful homemade desserts by Marina. Breakfast is fantastic too...try the fresh Red Watermelon yummmmm oh and the coffee is great too!
Teresa is wonderful and keeps everything moving like clock-work but still manages to keep a very friendly atmosphere. Beautiful little touches are in every room such as sea shells, delicate decorations that you just cannot find in any other hotel. Every day our room is cleaned and feels so fresh after the long day relaxing on the beach. I actually brought a travel electric kettle to make us Tea / coffee in the room which was super.

We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back. Thank you also for our very touching hand painted engagement gift, this was a hand painted stone by Cinzia, you will see these around the hotel.

My last word, we travelled further up the southern east cost of Sardinia for the last leg of our trip which was stunning but every night in the 2nd hotel we stayed in made us miss Hotel La Corte Rosada and the family even more. You will not find better than this little piece of magic.

BRAVO to Cinzia, Marina, Alex and all their Staff, but especially to Mamma Teresa, the unbeatable chief of “La Corte Rosada”.
Unforgettable our initial approach, when she came to pick us up at the Castiadas airstrip upon landing from Switzerland (no “hello” but just “don't tell anybody that the chief of Corte Rosada came to pick you up...” ) and those 10 minutes “ride” on her “Fiat Doblo” at over 100Km/h through the narrow Sardinian roads to La Corte Rosada.
In the meantime her sympathy, Venetian courtesy (that's were she is original from) and natural professionalism came out : PR, Purchase manager, Staff chief, Restaurant Maitre, Accountant... what else : this is “Mamma Teresa” !
What to say about Cinzia's kitchen, simple and tasty, a combination of Sardininian an Venice-style dishes : “Porceddu” (baby pig, roasted on aromatic wood-flame), malloreddu (typical sardinian potatoes “gnocco” filled with cheese, in tomatoes sauce), lasagne Bolognese… and so many others.
How to describe Marina's delicatessen : eye-opening breakfast's croissants, daily home-baked cakes, after-dinner “ceadas” (Sardinian specialty, a sort of “crèpe” filled with freshly home-made goat cheese, fried in light oil and topped with local honey).
How to explain the taste of their home-made Mirth liqueur... poured in a chilled small glass with ice formed in the bottom.
BRAVO to Alex (son of Marina) for the maintenance of all rooms, the garden, the golf-course like grass care.
Unbeatable the ambience, the friendly approach of all guests, the refined architectural style, the rustic lighting surrounding your candle-light dinner, in the arcade or under a giant carob tree.
Thank you to all of you, we'll return soon.
BARBIE

An one week sunny holiday at Corte Rosada - with a two old baby this is the ideal place to stay: only 10 rooms, very quite and clean place, nice outside atmosphere with lots of flowers, trees and painted stones (our little one just loved these). The food and the wine were just perfect! Not to forgot about Cinzia, Marina, Nona, Alex and Jean Paolo - very friendly and also ready to help. Although the place is located 2 min drive to the nearest beach it is worth to stay in it - by car you can easily reach all the attractions - horse (pony) ridding, the golf club, the main big store in town, the fruit market, Costa Rei's, Simius, Campolungu beaches, the Marina...

Room Tip: best food in the town - all fresh with a homemade taste!

If you are seeking a magical place to stay in Villasimius, I have found you the perfect place!! La Corte Rosada have their doors open for you and your family. As you arrive the iron gates overlook a ray of coloured houses. There are flowers of many colours surrounding the beautiful little houses. The loving and wonderful Teresa is the owner with her beautiful daughters Cinzia and Marina. She also shares her handsome grandson Alex, that assists her on the premises keeping the grass and flowers inviting. The rooms look like little houses that give a feeling of warmth. The rooms are specious and very clean by Anna. The dinners are amazing and prepared by Cinzia and Marina. Dessert is always a surprise by Marina. Oh my God it's amazing!!! Paolo make sure the service is "next to none" and very enjoyable. He has a warm and gentle manner.Breakfast has a variety of pastries, fruit, yogurt and juices. Teresa with her sincere and genuine smile invites you and your family to be part of her beautiful family. We now have a family in Villasimius at La Corte Rosada and we look forward to our next visit!!! Mario and Libby

We stayed there in June 2012 for 5 night with our small son. The hotel is located around 1 km far from villasimius center, a bit up close to the hills. It has a fresh air in the evenings. It can be easily reached by car. We can only only confirm the friendliness and hospitality of the owners and cleanliness of the rooms. We took the half pension option, and there is large menu to choose from. The quality of the food was very good and definitely not small portions. The breakfast was a bit poor but it is similar everywere in Italy in general (no cheese or meat products). A bit of italian knowledge would be handy for communication. The TV in the room was very small.

We stayed for 3 days a la Corte Rosada and the service at the hotel and the restaurant as well was really great.
The only critical point are the small portions at the restaurant.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2011

I cannot say enough positive things about Hotel la Corte Rosada. We stayed here for 10 days in early September 2011 and loved every minute of it! YES, we will be going back!

Key words to sum up are: stunning, friendly, spotless, great attention to detail, home, personal, private, special, magical, wide selection of food (go half board!), amazing dinners, great breakfast, lovely coffee, relaxing, spacious and the most amazing family and staff!

La Corte Rosada is a beautiful, family run hotel with lots of personality, ran by beautiful Teresa who welcomed us on arrival and hosts during dining hours. Teresa’s wonderful daughter Cinzia prepares the delicate and mouth watering Sardinian and Italian meals, we stayed half board and with lots of choice on the menu from antipasti, pasta, lasagna, meats, salads, desserts… we were amazed every evening with our 5 course meals which were eaten outside within a beautifully lit restaurant and terrace. Our table was served by Paolo who does an amazing job, so friendly and welcoming every morning & evening.

We stayed in a stunning Duplex Suite consisting of a ground floor spacious sitting room (sofa, table, tv, fridge, storage), good size bathroom, a beautiful stairway brought us to our spacious Sardinian bedroom, very airy, light with a balcony with lots of storage. Both the bedroom and sitting rooms had air conditioning which was great!

I compliment the family on running a very organized, friendly, clean and professional hotel, every morning (10am) we were greeted by Teresa & Paolo with a wide choice of pastries, fruit, juices, coffee etc to keep us going through the day. We headed off for our relaxing day at the beach to return to a spotlessly cleaned suite, the beds are made daily and fully changed every few days, new towels daily giving us a calm and spotless environment to relax in and prepare for our 8pm dinner.

We hired a car which is needed to explore the magical white sandy beaches around Villasimius, la Corte Rosada is excellently located with only a 2 minute drive into the town Villasimius.

Thank you to everyone at Hotel la Corte Rosada for making our paradise and dream holiday come true – just what we needed!!! We felt like one of the family, missing you loads and we will visit again soon!
