“Very pleasant stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

Super friendly and attentive owners Giovanna and her husband, who makes sure that the rooms are extremely clean and the bed is comfortable as at home. They were very helpful during the whole stay. The view is fantastic and breakfast is great!

Charming proprietors and lovely view above Vieste. Our comfortable 'villette' had 2 double bedrooms and large kitchen/sitting room; elegant shower room and our own alfresco sitting out/dining area. The central room was air conditioned and the 2 rooms off it had fans. It was very hot while we were there but the inside was cool. I found the mattress a bit thin but I got used to it after the first night and my husband had no trouble at all. Giovanna and Ennio were very kind about meeting us when we arrived on the bus from Bari and in taking us into Vieste and collecting us but you really need a car. There is a terrace with amazing views and a childrens play area and table tennis. The beaches are amazing. We also did a day trip with Giovanna and Ennio to the Umbra forest and to Mont St Angelo, now a UNESCO heritage site which , according to to one of the foundation myths of the Norman conquest of S. Italy and Sicily, is where the Normans started their Conquest of the South. Ennio knows a lot about the history of the area. We would certainly go back.
Breakfast was great with Cringa-Claudia preparing eggs to order as well as lots of bread, croissants etc.

Room Tip: A view of the sea from outside your 'villette' would be great.

Rooms - nice and spacious room, comfortable, all facilities included
Location - excellent location for both beach and city (2 km from Vieste)
Breakfast - absolutely great, lot of variety and fine quality, most of all local products
Service - a service you don't usually get in many places around the World...Giovanna is the perfect host and will try her best to make your stay (we stayed 5 days) unforgettable.
Summary - the global atmosphere (other guests included) is high standard, with everything well cared and maintained. Overall an excellent option in Vieste area. Sure, really sure, you won't regret.

Wow - a very friendly reception from Maria and her mother. The room (No. 2) we had was clean, spacious, nice view with good facilities and at a reasonable price. The hotel is only a short drive from Vieste and is situated in a very scenic part of Italy.

Situated high above Vieste, the residence is reached via a rather tortuous series of roads and tracks winding up from the bay. The 10 minute drive is rewarded with good views towards the sea and old town.
Our suite/apartment was quiet and well-equipped, and had front and rear, outside seating areas. Giovanna was a welcoming and friendly hostess, and baked lovely cakes for breakfast.
We enjoyed our short stay here.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2009

After a hectic week of visiting cities and congested locations in Italy, we were really happy that our week at Maresol was perfect. We rented a 2 bedroom suite which was ideal for our family (including 10 and 14 year old kids). Gionvanne was an excellent host and helped us with stores, activities, restaurants, beaches and more.

The location was nice and cool (breezes), great views, and very quiet. We recommend the boat trip down the coast, exploring the Gargano cliffs and secluded bays. We had beautiful picnics with the cheese, bread, vegatables, and wine purchased from the local market. The kids loved the beaches, which were empty during our visit at the end of June (before the local kids get out of school).

Good breakfast, on the balcony were very memorable. Overall a very nice spot and we would return.

You will never lack attention and care from the owners (Giovanna and Ennio) and staff - they are the most friendly and helpful people we've met in the area! Even though in Italy you often find people with similar level of generousity and friednliness they are still outstanding.
The place may seem a bit remote from the beach and town, however for those without a car and not apt to walk long distances, they offer a shuttle service and quite insist that you take advantage of their generousity.
The appartments and vilettas are situated up on a beautiful hill covered with pine-trees so the air is most pure, aromatic and healthy... we wanted to stay just 3 days and ended up staying 5+ one evening... even skipped a short trip to Rome, so nice it was there!
Since that trip this has been one of my most favourite places in Italy especially in Puglia!
When in Vieste don't miss one of the best wine shops in town, that of Signor Antonio di Rodi (Via Vittorio Veneto 2) - they have great cheeses to accompany the marvellous wines too!!
I highly recommend Maresol to everyone who seeks for a most relaxing, healthy and cherished hoilday on the Garganic peninsula!
