“"Perfecto" !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Arrived here last Sunday in beautuful sunshine to a very warm welcome and some fantastic fresh lemon juice.

We had lovely terrace room overlooking the sea. The setting is stunning and we enjoyed a lovely afternoon on the pool decking with a swim in the sea easily accessed by steps from the pontoon.

Dinner in the Maxi restaurant was excellent and will remain a very memorable one - amazing food and great service together with a beautiful setting on the water.

Cannot fault this hotel and will return for sure as we were only there for one night which was just not long enough ! thank you

Room Tip: A terrace or balcony room is a must to enjoy the closeness to the sea.

We recently had 4 nights at this lovely hotel. Having never been to this part of Italy before we were a bit concerned at the slightly scuzzy Naples outskirts and the fact our TomTom told us we were close to our destination. However, whizz through a few tunnels and suddenly you are in a different world and from the moment we handed over the keys to our Fiat 500 and saw the view of the Bay of Naples we were sold. We were greeted by warm and friendly service, offered a drink and then shown to our lovely sea view room. This is a small but almost perfectly formed hotel - with a lovely (but chilly) pool, some great in sea bathing, a top restaurant, the most picturesque gym you will ever work out in (open air - looking out over the bay) and a great cocktail bar that makes the best Aperol Spritzs! We didn't try the spa - it was warm and we wanted to hang out outside as much as possible - but it looked nice. The staff were really great - helpful, friendly and good at their jobs. We had an amazing day trip to Pompeii - which was super easy to get to from the nearby train station at Vico Equense and we also had a leisurely drive to Positano, which was 20 minutes away. I would highly recommend Capo La Gala - we will certainly be back!

We stayed here in a Privilege Room for 4 days. Fantastic. The staff were well trained and spoke a variety of languages, English was never a problem here. The other guests were mostly European and couples.

A romantic hotel with well designed rooms, spa, bar and restaurant areas. The staff recommended us great restaurants in nearby towns in the Sorrentine Penninsula. We can't believe that their own restaurant Maxi hasn't received a Michelin star yet. Delicious.

The staff also helped to arrange a private boat tour to Capri where we had lunch at Il Riccio and jumped off boat and swam in a beautiful grotto. Personally, one of the best days of our lives.

During the day we swam at their private beach which was clean and well attended (thank you Angelo). At night, we slept with our windows open and fell asleep to the crashing rhythmic waves from the sea.

We will come back again and again.

Room Tip: All rooms have sunset views, I don't think that there is a bad room in this small boutique hotel...

My (now) husband and I chose Capo La Gala as our reception hotel for our wedding. Having travelled out last April to have a look around lots of hotels in the Sorrento area, Capo stood out by miles- with the most spectacular, breath taking setting! We instantly booked a date there for 2013. Since last April, the staff have made organising an abroad wedding a doddle... They replied to e-mails very quickly and efficiently and sorted any requests we had with no hesitations! Needless to say all our guest were equally amazed by the setting when we arrived as well as the food, which will be talked about for many years to come!!! The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much of a hassle!! We will definitely return on our anniversaries to come!!thankyou so much for making our night so special for us!!!

Capo la Gala is a beautiful place. The owners have gone out of their way to create a retreat from the tourist hustle of Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. With only 22 rooms, the hotel feels small and special. We stayed in one of only four rooms without a terrace; however, the views were so stunning that we didn't care. From the staff at the registration desk to the pool attendant, the service was fantastic.

We had a car for day trips, however, used the hotel shuttle to get in and out of Vico Equense for dinner.

The price tag is high, but with all of the amenities, well worth it. I hope I have the chance to go back.

This was the most warm, welcoming, friendly, relaxing hotel we have ever visited. Wonderful setting with beautiful views. Set on different levels with with plenty of space. The hotel was full but at times it felt as though we were the only guests. Room with balcony and sea a few yards away. Fabulous sunsets. Candles lit around the grounds in the evening. Very romantic. Wonderful food. Long breakfasts, jazz evenings by the pool with cocktails, excellent spa. Christal was fantastically professional and lovely. Great decor throughout. We had the platinum menu for a special evening...wow! Delicious food without being pretentious. And fun. The staff/guest relationship was perfect. Unforgettable.

Room Tip: Really worth getting a balcony

A real treat to stay here. The upgrade to a room with it's own balcony overlooking the sea was a real luxury. Peaceful though within reach of local sights by courtesy shuttle to station. Michelin restaurant lives up to its reputation. Wonderful staff. Would highly recommend this hotel.
