“Good hotel,nice staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2014

The hotel is not too big. It is situated in a quiet place with a small nice yard. The rooms are clean the food is very good and rich and Antonio, the owner and his family and all the staff is very kind, helpful. Some of them speak English, you can easily communicate with them.I was there with a group - I am a tour guide - and the majority of my passangers was really satisfied. They do their best to make their guests' holiday pleasant. (There are always some people who never like anything at all, but who cares them? :) ) All in all I can suggest the hotel.

Room Tip: Until the 2 florr there is a lift then you have to use some stairs to reach the 3rd-floor-rooms. The...

The staff were so lovely and helpful. On the bright side it was right next to the station and was a good base for exploring Pompei, Sorrento, Amalfi etc. The hotel was reasonably clean and the room was cleaned every day. It was a short walk into the town which had a good choice of restaurants. Sadly the place had a very shabby feel. The view was of a burnt out pizza restaurant and the cold breakfast was very basic.
To be fair we got what we paid for. However I would be pushed to give this hotel two stars, certainly not three.

Dear madame,
we need with attention your advice.
We are very sorry about the view of the "burnt restaurant" on the other side of the road;we're asked to the competent institue to remove the ruins, but as you surely know it needs time to have solutions but thanksto good, the hotel has a wonderfuk view on the bay of Vico Equense, also the location has you've seen is a sort of naif hotel and maybe you didn't like it but from next year we are organising a more plane project to unify furniture.

Thank you again.

First time we've ever had to check out early to find another hotel! To sum the experience up in bad (-) and good (+):

- Extremely loud: The combination of ridiculously thin walls/doors, tiled hallways and great numbers of teenage guests on school trips means the probablitiy of sleep is slim to none.

- Did probably run out of renovation funds in the late 1970's: The place seems to be crumbling, we were woken up before 7 a.m. on a Saturday by a janitor drilling and hammering through the hallway floor tiles outside our room to fix a "water problem", not only extremely loud, but also left us without running water, no explanations or excuses offered,

- Cold: Air conditioning with cooling, but no heating, too cold and damp for an April stay.

- Lack of organisation, the website said check in at noon, we arrived by 2 pm and had to wait another hour for check in.

- Although this is perhaps a matter of taste, the decoration is one big style accident, with a weird mix of italian rustic, fake antique furniture and oriental figurines. Sea view from window blocked by trees, only leaves the burnt-down restaurant across the bay as a scenery. Could perhaps be hilarious if you were not already sleep deprived and freezing.

+ Kind staff.

+ Good location for accessing the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento, Pompeji and Naples.

Room Tip: Hard to imagine there is such a thing as a "good room" here...

I booked in this hotel for my little honeymoon with my wife: 2 days in the splendid Vico Equense.

I asked for a room with sea view, paying for a "standard room" instead of a "easy room".

But when we arrived in Vico Equense, we saw a very bad room: crumbling and uncleaned fornitures, a restroom to forget! About the sea, we had a little window on the sea... too little to see the landscape and with a big tree which covered the view.

Well, we asked for another room because the room they gave to us wasn't good at all... but they told us that was the prettiest room they had available for the moment.

Can you believe it?!

We left the room before the end of the vacation.

An outstanding experience. The hotel staff are very welcoming and go the extra mile to be accommodating, cheerful and helpful. The location is very convenient for sightseeing and the vista over the Bay of Naples is breathtaking. In February the temperature in the rooms is variable, and we were a large party of college students, some with cooler rooms than others, but none were uncomfortably cold. Excellent continental style breakfasts with ample strong coffee suited me well. Evening meals were equally generous and filling, the pasta always cooked to perfection and teaching staff enjoyed four course dinners which were surprisingly varied and masterfully produced. I would certainly recommend it to others and would be most eager to return with student parties in the future.

Room Tip: Higher floor for best views, end of corridor and lower down can be colder in winter.

My friends and I stayed here last September and we loved it. The Hotel is awesome! Everything is so clean ,the staff is really kind and the view is beautiful. In addition ,the hotel is close to the train station so you can easily reach Pompeii, Ercolano and Sorrento and visit some of the most wonderful places in the world. We'll certainly come back soon!
