I spent a week at this hotel and had a fantastic stay. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, Gian Lucca and Gabriele among others. This hotel is very clean and in a perfect location on the promenade. I paid €70 a night for a good size single room with a balcony and a great sea view. Breakfast was very good and I would highly recommend this hotel.
Viareggio is a very chilled out place with great beaches, 2 lovely pine woods in town, beautiful mountains behind the town and a great base for exploring Tuscany and the Coast.

Located right on the main strip. Smaller hotel with about 3 floors. You have to pickup and drop off room key upon leaving and entering the hotel (it was actually pretty good do you don't have to hold the key) The staff was nice. They offered a nice continental breakfast each morning. The rooms were decent and clean.

The Hotel is tiny and beds are short by any means for any grown up man. But it is well located, and the staff are very friendly and helpful, I left a ring there and they returned it within a week.

Hotel San Francisco is on the main drag of the beach area of Viareggion. the roof garden was an absolute godsend as was the outside shower as the tempretures soared whilst we were here. hotel staff lovely and breafast adequate but it got a bit boring eating the same ham and cheese every day for 7 days. Coffee and juice was good. Our room, which was a good size had plenty of storage and was on the 3rd floor. We were at the back and had gorgeous views over the roof tops to the mountains. We also had a balcony which came in very handy. Bathroom was fine although it was the smallest shower cubilcle I have ever used. Plenty of hot water and it was kept spotless.
