The area itself is very expensive. A lovely place to visit and walk around. We were here in height of season and it was "comfortable" busy. We arrived from Pisa by train and got taxi to hotel. Very friendly welcome and checked in quickly to our rooms. Quaint old style lift to rooms.
Room is big, bright and airy. Large window that opened up to balcony . We were at side of hotel and when sit out morning or afternoon you can enjoy sea views. With walking distance of beach, cafes, lovely places to have dinner in the middle of busy atmosphere of streets. Shops open till late which is nice for a stroll before and after dinner. These shops are expensive such as Guess, Benneton etc however away from the prom local shops can be found!
Beach is fab, very well kept however beach is divided into private sections which a fee is due if one wants to sit... As a lot of people tour from here not many spend the full day here!
We visited Lucca on train when here, fab little town with regular train service! Lovely walk around town and on town wall!!
We went from here to Florence and again train service excellent!!
Dining room was lovely and breakfast very satisfactory!!
This hotel is worth a visit when touring the Tuscan region!
