We have been going to Il Dandano for ages. Every time we visit Varazze, usually twice a year, it is always our first port of call.
Their pizzas are the reason we go: they are simply delicious! They do very good pasta dishes as well, particularly their trenette al pesto genovese. made in the traditional way with potatoes and beans cooked with the pasta and then mixed in with the pesto.
It is very popular with the locals. Even on a very quiet Monday night when other pizzerias in town struggle to get customers, this place is really busy; always a very good sign. Usually we have to book in advance to secure a table.
