If eating there in height of Summer, its imperative to get a table out in the courtyard because inside is like a sauna, especially with the pizza oven blazing! Food was excellent, great huge selection of pizza and some lovely side dishes too. Bill was fairly reasonable.
Fantastic food for a nice price. Beautiful location, we sat outside in the tiny streets: romantic!

This is my first review of Al Pinturicchio, but it is not the first time of having the pleasure of eating there. We have been to Tropea 3 times in the last 4 years. We fell in love with the town and people from day 1. We have been to Al Pinturicchio at least 9 times maybe even 10 in the 3 visits. Every single time, the food has been fabulous. Every dish, fresh, hot and oh so good. The value is outstanding. The service is professional and friendly. They make the best pizza in town but this is not just a pizza parlor, they make seafood ( the mussels are incredible) and pasta dishes that are as good as any big city restaurant.
Bottom line is, if you are lucky enough to be visiting the beautiful town of Tropea, you should be eating at Al Pinturicchio.
Ate at this great restaurant last year. The food and the service are the best in town. Very authentic, lots of good seafood. Service is good, even though its always busy. The best Pizza in Tropea.

The best restaurant in Tropea! Fantastic food and white wine, normal prices, nice atmosphere. Dinner for two + bottle of white wine + two glasses of limunchelo= 50 eur! Great :)
