“Nice clean hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

Nice clean hotel staff friendly and do speak English,Stayed here this July 14 found hotel very clean and tidy, breakfast was typical continental very easy to find something to eat. Only seem to do breakfast as part of your stay but evening meal is there if you wish to reserve a table with reception.
Hotel could do with updating its decor very much stuck in 70s era... but its very quiet and off main road area plenty of places to eat within 5-10 min walk must like fish and pizza seems too be most menus out there nice Chinese at top of road, beaches mostly private and cost 16 euros for two beds and parasol. Beaches are set well away from road so there's no walking along beach after dinner. they sandy and clean with changing rooms too at a cost.

I did find eating out to be expensive in all places in Italy. though that's the euro!!!

I would stay again if i went there.

Really good if you want to see the locals and good location if you ren a car. We wanted culture and beach so this was ideal location. The beach was only 10 min walk, although the private beaches cost money and the free beach is over crouded. Its only 20 min drive to pisa and 30 min drive to lucca. Definitely recommend visiting lucca. Hotel itself was clean with a good breakfastbut old and warn down, needed updating and facilitties were poor. Swimming pool is small and balconey is not nice.

As previously mentioned this is a step back in time, but it worked for us.
First impression is of concern but I must say that the cleanliness of bed and bath linen is spotless, the Front desk service is extremely pleasant and both these factors more than compensate for the age of bedroom furniture and fittings.Air Conditioning is excellent.
Sea view Rooms with large Balcony are a pleasant bonus when you sit for an early evening aperitif.
Be aware that there is a Fun Fair in the evenings on one side and the noise prevents from sleeping with the window open.
Room safe is extra € 20 fully refundable, use of the Beach is €16 per couple for deck chairs and umbrella, otherwise use of Hotel Pool but remember to bring your own towel.
If the breakfast is anything to go by then I would be concerned for the Restaurant, we chose to eat at several of the small eateries located within a 15 minute walk from the hotel and each was good food at a fair price.
Our first visit to this region and I must say it was a good trip, the Beach is fantastic but be prepared to pay to use, there are one or two public locations but these are very crowded.
Great trip, thank you

Hotel is far from the airport. We spent 45Euro for a taxi to get to it :(. We chose it because it was close to the beaches and cheaper than the rest in the area. It's definately a Golfing hotel...not for the younger generation....the decor is dated...and everyone...is....older haha for the lack of a better word, so its VERY quiet all the time, even out at the pool. We had our three year old out there splashing and...i kept having to tell her to quiet down while all the other older generation looked on in either smiles or rolling their eyes.
Rooms are VERY spacious!!! Pillows are awesome, the beds are hard, - but a huge room , and flushable toilets and those..european toilets...ya know..the ones that wash u lol.

SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY and take the bus if you can hack it and pull ur luggage. Take the red LAM from the Aeroporto to the Central Station ( its a train station it drops u off at, just go to the bus terminal down the street on the left and get a ticket to Tirrenia platform 2- its like a 25 minutes bus ride. When u get to tirrenia, the square, look for La Laggio restaurant it will be on your right and start heading down that way, Luna Park will be on your right...and the Staciozone(sp) will be right in front of you. It looks like a dead end but you can cut through, and u can see the hotel up to the right in the distance, then take ur right on the street and it will be on your left. We saved .....38 euro doing this, it took some more time, but...38 euro is 38 euro!!

As for the "PRIVATE" beach, its a waste i believe. 16 euro for an umbrella and chair you can't even pick where you want to sit!!! We were forced all the way in the back cornered with a very large man in a speedo with psoriasis all over his body while he got an oil massage from one of the MANY vendors that bother you in the area. Im not even joking, i thought mexico was bad, this place is worse. Every 5 minutes your bothered by people selling sunglasses, dresses, bracelets, hats, coconuts, you name it, we were asked every 5 minutes while i was trying to relax and tan while my daughter played in the sand, i finally just started yelling NO I DONT WANT ANYTHING at them i got so annoyed after 3 hours and constantly being harassed to buy sumthing!! we went for 3 hours got fed up and left and never went back. The water was murky and had that tan seaweed in it...looking back we should have just stayed in Pisa itself.

The Hotel staff was VERY friendly and very helpful, the weekend there was sum sort of Music camp going on, so we got to listen to all the student musicians , and we watch the soccer games in the lobby with other people who were interested.

Breakfast was great! i was really surprised! Pastries, scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, jams, yogurts, fresh fruits, cappuccino, coffees teas, a really nice spread and they are very quick to refill if anything is emptied:)

we caught the bus in the mornings to town, runs every 50 minutes ish...to Pisa 2- 2.50 euro a person ....last stop is the station and we walked the 20 minutes to the leaning tower.

theres lots of restaurants within walking distance. Go to the Black Knight and iL torreno....steak house. Delicious. For cheaper food stick with the cafeteria type places, and the Skip. :) the amusements park right near the hotel doesn't open until like 9pm but go if you have kids!!! most restaurants don't open til 7pm! they have very late dinners in Italy haha.

The pool is smaller than what it looks in the picture too..just had to add that.

All in all the hotel is a nice stay. We were really surprised, aside from things they can't control the hotel itself ,though dated, is a nice quiet stay. The a/c didn't really work so we had the door to the patio open all night which let in a nice breeze :)

Room Tip: we got a triple room- its just two twins pushed together to make a king and then another twin bed .

We are family of 3 from Norway. The service was very good, the receptionist is very helpful especially the woman who is very good in english and very helpful. The housekeeping clean our room everyday. You can see right away in the lobby that it is old hotel. I hope they change the sofa and some furniture in the lobby as it was soo old and dirty. not so comfortable to sit in. WIFI only available downstair. The breakfast has a few selection at least from a scandinavian standard don't expect hotdog, beans and omelett, there was only scrambled option for the egg. They do have cheese, ham, yogurt though.
There is another complain about the noise. you can hear the toilett flushing from other room and noise outside can be easily heard. The room really needs an update. but it doesnt matter if you will be outside whole day. There is swimming pool nice and clean kids will love it. The beach, restaurant is walking distance from the hotel. Pisa center is 20-25 min. by bus. Locals is very nice and helpful we have little bit trouble with communication because a few only can speak english. some menu on restaurant no english translation at all.
try to bargain when you shop on the street as they ussually raise the price for tourist.
Overall this hotel is good for short stay after all you will get what you pay for.

Room Tip: There is room available facing the pool but it cost more. our room is facing the tennis court and fo...

Stayed for a week, overall pleasant stay. Near sea, restaurants, bus lines and the room was clean, could do with a bit of painting. Staff are helpful, all speak english. Breakfast is amazingly huge and diverse. 40mins 2 buses from the airport.

The hotel is a large building not far from the sea. The rooms are quite okay and if there is a problem, the people at reception are very helpful and friendly. I stayed there only one night, coming by ferry from Corsica and leaving for home by bus in the morning. So it was convenient that they served an early breakfast.
