Positive: pool and bar area are nice, strong wifi, close to the beach, free parking, in center of town.

Negative: terrible food (walk 2 minutes, across the street, for excellent options), the overall exterior of the hotel is pretty bad.

After a VERY expensive taxi journey from Pisa Airport (50 Euros) we arrived at the hotel and could see from the outset that this was an outdated and run down hotel. We were greeted with a very warm welcome (the staff continued to be informative and very helpful throughout our stay) but that really was the only plus point for this hotel. Our room was very basic and old-looking with no plug sockets to charge phones or use appliances. There was no balcony and we had dirty towels in our room upon arrival.

Warning: you cannot swim in the pool without a swimming cap which you have to purchase for 2 Euros. There are limited loungers available by the pool so you must snap them up early in the morning. At 5pm they play music by the pool so loud that you cannot relax without ear plugs. This is for an "aqua zumba" class which was absolutely not zumba! It was quite comical though.

There was a good selection at breakfast which I cannot fault. Wifi does not work at all in the hotel.

Overall I definitely would not recommend staying at this hotel.

we stayed for 5 nights. we had come from a 4 star hotel in rome so there was a bit of disappointment at our room size . however once settled in the room was all that was required and the airconditioning fantastic as it was very hot. we had a balcony room at the front which gave great views but you have to put up with the karaoke singing till 1 , street cleaners then breakfast being set up at 7am below on the outside patio. In saying that we were that exhausted from sightseeing it wasn't a major problem for adults but maybe a problem if you had younger children. Swimming pool and beach fantastic. Plenty of restaurants near by to walk straight into for breakfast/dinner if you don't want to use the hotels arrangements. Staff were excellent and spoke perfect English. Top tip ..order taxi at reception as not any pass through the town. Reception had maps, made phone calls for us. Everything was exceptionally clean and you cant fault the location. We used it to see Pisa and Florence and had no problems.

Stayed here for three days at the end of our holiday in Tuscany as we wanted a few days by the beach. We enjoyed our stay here as the hotel wasn't full, probably because it was not quite the really busy part of holiday season for a few more weeks, so that meant there were plenty of available sun beds around the pool and on the beach any time of day. The pool was huge with plenty of space to swim. There was an aerobics class in the pool at 10am and a dance class poolside around 3pm; I think there may be more entertainment and a kids club in the peak season. I don't think we would have enjoyed it had it been any busier as my children are older now so we don't need the kids clubs and just want to chill and relax. As we drove along the main street into Tirennia and towards the hotel we wondered if we had done the right thing as it was totally opposite to where we had just been for a week, (central Tuscany in the middle of countryside with stunning views). This was a typical seaside resort, very commercialised as in one long road full of bars, restaurants, shops and stalls selling all kinds of beach wear, toys and souvenirs. But if you want a great family Hotel right by the sea with something to suit everyone entertainment wise, then this is a great place to come.

Went here with thomson three years ago , they have stopped going but booked direct with hotel. lots of positives, good comfortable rooms, quiet air condiitioning, very clean , fantastic olympic sized pool and access to beach. If you have kids good range of activities. Negtives for us , area noisier than previous and with pool activities ot quiet but our personal preference, reasonably pricy but overall good value, one small frustration though wa that we had paid for half board and couple of nights came in at 8. 30 , not
late by italian standards and most of additional salad dishes finished and not topped up despite fact we had paid for this , noted at least two other couples also complain. Also food is very italian not mainstream , with lots of squid and octopus particularly in first course but if adventurous good chance to try some really different dishes. veal steak was outstanding

Room Tip: High floor amd probably quitere over road if the karaoke is on

This hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel or worth the price that we paid. We have stayed in cheaper hotels that were better! Nothing has been done to the hotel since it was built.

The reception area and most of the ground floor would have been very grand when it opened but now it's really quite dated. The room that we had looked nothing like the photos - it was tired and in need of redecoration. It was a very basic room - we've stayed in cheaper places that had better rooms. They were dark and dingy rather than light and modern.

The bathroom was in dire need of work - mouldy bath sealant / rusty shower doors. The shower was over the bath but when the doors were shut there was very little room to move making showering quite difficult - it would have been better to have just had a shower in the bathroom.

Breakfast was possibly the worst that we had during our trip. We had not been told where the breakfast was being served so it took a bit of time to find the room. The staff just didn't seem to want to be bothered, the fruit juice hadn't seen a fruit in it's life in our opinion and the breakfast itself was very, very poor with bad coffee.

The pool looked lovely but in order to use it you had to have either brought a swimming cap with you (unless they tell you when you book, how would you know to bring one?) or you had to spend 2euros per person in buying one as you can't swim without wearing one - never experienced that before at any hotel that we have stayed at! Not quite sure as to what the reasoning was!

We booked the hotel as it was the last hotel we were staying in before we arrived at our holiday accommodation so we thought we would spend just that little bit more and spoil ourselves a bit but we left very, very disappointed.

If you are looking for a hotel in this area and you are after a 4 star or equivalent hotel then this is one to avoid it is not worth the money.

This is not a4 star hotel its much more travel lodge we arrived by taxi but because there was a car rally (Saturday night) the driver dropped us off at the end of the car park and waved in the general direction of the hotel we got our cases and headed tot he hotel check in was quick but not offered a drink of water _its 30 degrees
Rooms are very basic and bland
Hairdryer is one of those wall mounted hose types
No robes/slippers
No tissues
No conditioner
Two socket points neither near a mirror
Room entry is by key /safe is also a key lock the safe will not hold an iPad its very small
Bathroom again basic please note the shower is tiny really tiny I feel like laurel / hardy trying to wash my hair I'm not skinny but I'm not large either
.we have a balcony overlooking the public car park and tacky stalls_
Breakfast is very poor unless you like bread+ cheesy eggs ,everything is self service you can't get a pot of tea
Reception staff are polite and friendly the rest are a bit _ hit and miss as to whether or not they speak to you.
The pool area is good nice and clean apart from the irritating aerobic instructor who practices his mik skills by blowing into it an making noises thankfully he doesn't go on too long
If you are after four star do not come here
WiFi is rubbish

Room Tip: Don't come here pick another hotel
