“It is Child friendly!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2012

Just got back from this hotel in a lovely part of Italy with our 6 year old daughter. The Olympic size pool was great along with the paddling pool. The hotel do require you to wear hats which you can get from them and helps keep the pool clean! Everyone wears them. We had a great room with balcony over looking the pool and sea. The room was cleaned everyday and restocked even though we had not run out. The hairdryer is like the one in swimming pools and not very powerful. My daughter enjoyed kids club which run from 10-12am 4-6pm and 9-10.30pm every day. She did loads there such as painting, dancing, chocolate party and on the last evening a little musical. Although she was the only english little girl she still enjoyed it and the girls took her under her wing. Great base for exploring Pisa which is a bus journey away. All the staff in the hotel were very plesant and welcoming. Even when we did have a problem with the safe they solved it promptly. The music evening music by th 2 different groups was good along with the nibbles at the bar to have with your drinks. All in all a nice place to stay for couples, single people and family alike, everyone made to feel welcome. Fab icecreams next door to the right!! Hotel is right on beach and each room gets 2 deckchairs and unbrella on the reserved part of beach. Plenty of beds around the pool, no need to save them!

Very dissapointed with our choice of hotel, It mentions in the hotel write up that it caters for children, Which was the main reason for our choice. The childrens play area only consisted of 1 swing, a wooden climbing frame & a seesaw. Our 2 young children (3 & 4 year old) were told off by staff and told to be quiet at the pool. when all they were doing was enjoying themselves. The beach that is allocated to the hotel... You had to sit where you are told by the life guard. The hotel resturant wasnt a pleasant experience, We felt very uncomfortable and consanstly being watch. So did not use it again. The bedrooms were basic but spacious. The breakfast buffet did have a big selection to choose from. the overall decor of the hotel needs to be updated, still stuck in the late 70s. we had a room facing the front of the hotel, so at night the noise from the street kepted you awake. Other hotel guest also commented on this.

Room Tip: when booking request rooms not facing the road, to noisy. Hotel do provide a shuttle service at 25...

Just returned from a week here and had a fantastic time. Staff are very helpful especially Gabriel in the restaurant who could not do enough for us.
Hotel is well situated right next to the beach and pool is kept lovely and no shortage of beds, none of the usual getting up early to save a bed by dumping a towel on them. Safes are FOC - which is a change.
Within easy reach of Pisa as bus stops right outside and you can jump on a train to Lucca and Florence as they run frequently. Can also get to Rome but we did not manage it this time as wanted a couple of days doing nothing but relaxing...

Would definitely recommend this hotel but not for those looking for nightlife, or like a hectic holiday.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in April 2012. The room and bathroom were large, clean and nice. The views to the sea and mountains were amazing, sleeping hearing the sea breaking was amazing!!! The breakfast wasn't very good, with few options of bread, cheese and ham. The quality of food wasn't good, but there are lots of good restaurants outside. The staff were friendly and helpfull. The gym was closed. The free parking option was a great reason to choose this hotel and the car can be parked safely. The bed is huge :)

I stayed in this hotel during a business trip in February 2012. The hotel/room were clean and the staff friendly and helpful. My room had a wonderful little patio that faced the street below but I had a pretty fantastic view of the sea. I found the hotel to be quiet and I slept well. As with every hotel I've stayed at in Europe, television is lacking but I didn't watch it anyway. The hotel offers free underground parking to its guests (just drive up and press the button - they'll open the door/gate for you even before you check-in) and there are warning signs on the outside of the hotel warning guests that there if a fee for parking on the street (fee is imposed by the city, not the hotel). If you get a parking ticket, it's because you weren't paying attention. The breakfast each morning was good with a variety of meats, cheeses, breads and pastry to choose from. There were also warm scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage, hard boiled eggs, fruit, coffee & juices to choose from. Wifi is not free, even in the public areas. We enjoyed a nice buffet of finger foods each night in the bar. The hotel has an outdoor pool (I believe it is closed in the winter) and guests have access to a gym (that I did not check out).

There is nothing wrong with the place, but in not a 4 stars.
I wouldn't pay more than 80euros.
Is a normal 3 stars hotel.
Service was very nice.

My Family stopped at this hotel for two weeks in August, when we first arrived we thought it looked a little shabby, But once you go inside you find a very nice hotel and very nice staff.
The food was excellent and our waiter was excellent, Whilst in Italy it was Ferragosto which ment lots of celebrating, The meal on the 15th of August was fantastic and far too much to eat, this was all part of the celebration.
The hotel is a stroll away from a lovely beach, the bus stop to go to Pisa is only at the end of the road from the hotel and the trip to Pisa is around 30 mins.
Don't do the organised trips, go to Pisa on the bus and you can have a day there or get the train to Florence or Lucca all are well worth a visit.
The only negative thing about the hotel is you have to wear a swimming hat whilst in the lovely pool.
This is a brilliant hotel, excellent base for tripping out around the area but also lovely just to stay around the pool or down on the beach.
I would highly recommend this hotel and its excellent staff.
