We have visit this restaurant almost every year for the past five years and had found it one of the better in Tirrenia. Hover, our last visit left us left than satisfied both with the service and quality. Both were not worth the cost of the meal. Not a bad option in Tirrenia, but certainly not up to the previous quality we had experienced.

Good Italian food, as everywhere, but nothing special. Just one thing to mention: service is very slow, was waiting for the check for 30 min.......

We visited the Cavaliere Nero for dinner and were immediately received as foreigners and sent to the foreigner's corner surrounded by all but Italians even though we are in Italy very often and are both fluent in the language. The service was not warm and we sent back two wrong bottles of wine before receiving the one we ordered. The pizzas and salads we ordered were average for the area. The wine list is interesting but missing many in the list. We found a lovely bottle which helped to rescue the evening along with a gratis digestivo. Perhaps other dishes are better, perhaps the staff was tired or over-worked. All in all not our best dining experience in Tirrenia..

we loved the fish dishes here in the restaurant and also the staff was very friendly
