In line with other reviews the Hotel is a little quirky and has an "old fashioned" feel to it however the staff are very helpful and friendly.
The room we had was on the third floor and was small but clean. The beds were clean but mine did dip in the middle but after skiing we slept well!
The bathroom was very small and very "tired", the shower leaked and was a bit grubby but plenty of hot water.
The food was excellent and there was always plenty of choice and lots of it.
We did not use the spa however it appeared to be very popular.
The hotel is well positioned for the slopes with facilities to store your skis and boots in a storage hut actually on the slopes so you do not have to carry them back and forth. The guy there is again really friendly and helpful.
We are not late night après ski people but found some nice little bars and cafes for drinks and lunch especially Cafe Bistrot.
The skiing is fantastic with runs to suit more intermediate to advanced, you need to be competent on Blues to enjoy this resort. The piste maps are a little confusing and they could do with just an indepth Sestriere map.
The short transfer time from Turin Airport makes this an attractive resort to visit, 7 hours from the front door to the slopes from South Wales!
We would definitely return to Sestriere and Hotel Savoy Edelweiss.
