The hotel is located just in front of the sea. This is the only plus
Rooms are ordinary, but very "cold". Staff pretty kind.
My MAJOR concern is the following
I was there on Friday night for business, unfortunately in the same hotel where the junior team of Juventus (football or soccer team, depending where you live) was hosted.
I was literally kicked out of the breakfast room because these "VIPs" (???????) sixteen years old players, deserved privacy. I was asked to move to a next door bar, where chairs were pilled up in a corner to get space for us. A tiny table was prepared with bread to be toasted around the corner, two slices of ham and two jars of jam.
Well, I am a customer and I deserve respect. Who cares about spoiled teens ! I pay my bill, as they do (probably.....). I felt I was treated like a "third league" customer vs "premiere league" ones. Not acceptable.

Dear Customer,

I would like to clarify that the room was reserved for the football team, expressed wish of their managers. Also the food and drinks were specifically requested, and listed differently than the standard breakfast, included in your price.
You are probably entered to the wrong room, because you didn't read the notice at the entrance and probably you followed the players.
We simply set up two breakfast rooms, because this was required.
if you go to eat at a restaurant, where at the same time there is a wedding, you pretend to eat the same things?

Beautiful hotel with quaint balconies in some rooms. Rooms appear to havupdated recently updated. Yes, the bath towels are very thin compared to most hotels. Food quality and service were adequate. No Internet service in the rooms, only in the main lobby. Front desk service was good and answered questions in English. Great location in the heart of the shopping district.

We stayed here as our main holiday. The hotel is really well placed being close to the town center, ten minute walk to the railway station and immediately opposite the beach.

The hotel has the ambiance of times gone by but the facilities are up to date and the staff helpful. Nice restaurant which is used for breakfast which has a variety of buffet items. We dined at the restaurant several evenings and the food was excellent.

The rooftop swimming extensive views both out to sea and towards the hillside. It is a real suntrap and we spent several afternoons soaking up the sun there.

The rooms were clean and functional and were also air conditioned; great in August!

For a small daily payment there is access to car parking facilities which I would recommend if travelling by car as Sestri Levante can be crowded and most areas have paring meters.

Room Tip: The hotel has a beach opposite but there are charges to use it. We were aware of this before we boo...

A large, stately hotel overlooking the sea. The room was ok, clean and not too worn. The style was a little old fashioned, catering for the older clientele perhaps. So unexciting but acceptable. The let downs were internet which was glacially slow, no way could you skype on it. I tried it in a couple of rooms but no real difference, lobby was ok. A breakfast that was uninspiring and the coffee rubbish, a real surprise for Italy. Towels which were not much thicker than sheets. The price was high, I have stayed in the centre of Paris a lot cheaper with a better room. The location was convenient for the station but similar for a lot of other hotels.

I was not overly impressed by this hotel, seeing as though its meant to be 4 star.
Room is very basic but okay for one night on business.
Very few power sockets
Random bits of literature with hotel information rather than one good folder/booklet explaining everything.
Still confused over whether there is or is not room service. I was told to order from the bar but then there was confusion as to whether there were any paninis or pizza left!?
Bathroom was okay but not the best supply of toiletries and took me a while to find the towel as it was so thin I didn't see it up on a shelf.

Room Tip: I imagine sea views are very nice but I had one around the back

Just spent 4 nights here.Fantastic location. Rooms clean and big enough. Bathroom lovely. Reception staff very helpful. Free use of hotel city bikes. Glorious views from roof top swimming pool. Only disappointment is breakfast. Regarding the beach - there is a free public beach 20m to the left of the Hotel Pay beach. I walked from the station - it took me 6 mins with a suitcase. I would recommend this hotel and hope to return.

We chose this hotel based on several other ratings across multiple websites, as well as the location, amenities, and the four-star rating. Unfortunately, the first night we stayed there, my husband and I woke up at 3:30 in the morning all itchy. We turned the lights on only to realize the entire bed was covered in bed bugs. We informed the receptionist and at first he said they were mosquitos, but we caught a few in a cup and brought them downstairs as proof…he quickly gave us a new room and promised things would be resolved in the morning. By the time we switched rooms, showered, and checked the new bed for bugs, it was already 6am so we didn’t get much sleep that first night. In the morning, based on the fact that in total we both had over 100 bites, it was clear that this bug problem was advanced (plus the bugs were all sizes, indicating there were multiple generations of bugs living in the bed). This brings me to the next disappointing fact about this hotel. There was clearly a lack of communication, as well as extreme passivity and avoidance of the problem. None of the hotel staff were willing to make any effort to fix the problem. They continued to say that they were ‘looking into it’ or that ‘they never had a problem like this’, but weren’t willing to offer any help or definite response to the problem. We were the ones constantly taking initiative—we were the ones going out of our way to ensure that this problem was resolved. When we asked to speak to the manager, their response every time was ‘she’s coming, we will tell you when she arrives’, yet we never heard from them nor were able to speak with her. Not only were we tired and in extreme discomfort due to these bites, but the hotel staff were unapologetic and made us fight to get any response from them. They claimed that they couldn’t offer us a refund due to ‘legal issues’, yet in the end, after several conversations, they finally agreed to refund us for one night. This seems to suggest that their initial response about their hands being tied due to legal issues was false—only to reiterate that the staff would do anything to avoid responsibility as well as attempt to intimidate the customer in hopes that they give up or go away. Honestly I hate the idea of writing bad reviews (in fact, I’ve never felt strongly enough to ever write a negative review) and this hotel is great in terms of location, but based on the bed bug infestation, as well as the way that the staff treat the guests, this hotel should barely be a 1-star rating rather than the 4. If you do choose to stay here, please please please check the bed frame and mattress before settling in. And don’t expect a hospitable response should things go awry.

There were some bed bugs, but has been treated by a specialist. The bed replaced.
The lady demanded a refund of € 233 otherwise she wrote on tripadvisor. We paid, but she lied, she just wanted money back. This is a scam.
We was not aware of this problem and was not aware of the nature of the insects, being the first time that we saw. We had to do some research and consult experts before understand the problem.
THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED.
