“Great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

I spent 5 days in Corallo hotel with my family, we stayed in a double room. The staff was very nice and the waiters and waitresses really friendly and kind. We really felt welcomed. The room was fine and the view from it was wonderful. It was very peaceful and quiet.
If I come back to Sorrento, I'd surely come back to the Corallo Hotel.

I spent 3 days in this wonderful hotel. The view was fantastic and also the location was perfect to see the Golfo of Naples. I went to Positano, Amalfi and also Capri. My room was amazing, big and clean. I ate two times in the restaurant of the Hotel: pasta was the best I ever had and the fish was fresh and really tasty, dishes were prepared with care by the chef. All the staff was very kind and nice to me. I recommend this hotel to those who love tranquility and quality. The breathtaking view I'm excited just thinking about it. Simply the best...I would like to come back as soon as possible.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

My wife and I stayed at the Corallo in late August 2012. We had been on a bus tour of Italy in 2001 and spent one night there. The view was spectacular and that is what took us back to the hotel this year. However, it will be the staff's warmness, appreciation of its guests and rooms with outdoor balconies that will bring my wife and I back.
When we arrived this year, the hotel’s Manager, Antonio greeted us at the door while another staff member served us ice cold lemonade. I only had one glass but there was always more if we wanted. As soon as we walked in the door, the beauty that is the Bay of Naples jumped out at us through the entrance floor’s large windows. Antonio made sure that our registration was complete then personally escorted us up to our room. He made sure everything was to our liking before leaving us. Although my wife can speak Italian all communications were conducted in English without prompting from us and in a friendly and courteous manner throughout our stay.
We upgraded to the second best category of room and we’re glad we did. The room was large and very clean with a large bathroom. It had 3 windows and a windowed door, walk-out to a large balcony overlooking the Bay. My wife and I spent many hours there just watching the world go by and some of the most spectacular sunsets we have ever seen.
All the facilities and amenities in the hotel were first rate both in their cleanliness and functionality. European breakfasts were included with our reservation. Everything was fresh and the staff was friendly, courteous and efficient. Dinner was also available at an additional cost. The menu, although somewhat limited, was Mediterranean style and delicious. The price was competitive for the area and was served by an excellent staff who catered to our every wish. The restaurant itself is mid-sized and over-looks a large open patio. Beyond the patio is the Bay in all its beauty. We never felt rushed to leave as we sat there after dinner relaxing with a coffee and looking at the view. They answered our questions in an informal but professional manner never displaying any sense of condescension or arrogance. That doesn’t always happen in many up-scale, Italian restaurants. The only thing missing was an on-site pool. However, one did have access to a location on the water within a very short walking distance.
Wi-Fi is available in the lobby and is free. It came in handy as I had to complete some work while at the hotel. Room service is available and was very reactive to your needs. Just ask and your food/drink was there within minutes. Often with a small vase of fresh flowers included. Parking is also available for a price. The Corallo provides both adjacent parking and a lot a short walk away. If you’re driving anything bigger than a small car best to park a short distance away rather than in the adjacent parking lot which is very tight.
The facilities at the Corallo were first rate but it was the staff that made our visit the trip highlight that it was. Each of them made you feel like you were right at home. Front desk employees were quick to offer directions and call cabs as required. They were also very knowledgeable of the local attractions, both more and less well known. Room maids were efficient and cooperative if we required room supplies beyond the norm. At no time did my wife and I feel uncomfortable asking questions or seeking advice. When I had problems with my phone I asked Antonio for help. Over the next day he spent at least one full hour with me determining the problem, offering advice, testing new hardware and finally getting my new phone to work. Giuseppe made sure we had Proseco delivered when and as requested.
We definitely will be back and recommend the Corallo to anyone seeking an informal, intimate hotel experience surrounded by friendly staff with the beauty of the Bay of Naples laid-out at your door step and the sun setting behind the Isle of Capri.

Room Tip: Ask for room 456. It's worth it.

We had a fourth floor balcony room and the view was spectacular! We were there for five days in late October and the dining room was closed for dinner for the season (but the restaurant just across the street from the desk is quite good). The breakfasts, however, were excellent and we were attended to with the best of Italian courtesy and charm thanks to our host, Angelo. The help at the front desk was excellent and provided useful tips for visiting Pompeii and the Amalfi coast. There is a small private beach below the cliff (with an elevator which was also closed for the season) however, the footpath to the beach is an experience not to be missed! It winds through switchbacks along the cliff and then through a tunnel that exits near the beach. A true feat of engineering with unique views. The center of Sorrento is a nice walk from the hotel and is not to be missed.

Room Tip: The balcony rooms are quiet and have great views.

The best thing about this hotel are the fabulous bay views from the terraces, public areas and, if you are lucky, from your own balcony. Room was fine but balcony was great. Breakfast was good and staff were attentive. If you don't like waking up early, suggest you avoid 1st floor beneath dining room (think reception is on floor 3) as floors are all tiled and there is nothing to cushion the sound of chairs scraping etc (and the hotel has coach groups, which tend to start out early). If you amble at a casual tourist pace, the walk into the town centre is over half an hour so don't stay there if that will be an issue.

Room Tip: Higher floor (floor 3 or higher) with sea view and balcony

This Hotel was in a location high above the clifftop overlooking the Bay of Sorrento.
We paid for a sea view and was well worth it, Dont penny pinch and get a street view you will regret it.
The hotel was very probably the cleanest we have been to and towels chenged twice daily.
We had a meal in the hotel Restaurant one night and would not really recommend it, there is a lovely place 10 yards from hotel food much better there
It takes a good 25 mins to walk to the centre of Sorrento so if you do not like walking then maybe this hotel would not suit you.

Room Tip: Hotel food in dining room evening meal was not great
