This restaurant is situated in the hotel Mediterraneo. We probably would not have eaten here had the restaurant we had planned to go to had not been closed. We were not staying in the hotel, and this seemed to a relatively unusual occurence for them, as we were asked for our room number on four separate occasions. (also, no facility to pay by credit card in the dining room, we had to pay at reception on the way out)
The dining room has a very formal feel to it, and we nearly left as felt slightly uncomfortable as we walked in, but staff were friendly enough. There is a menu of the day which allows a starter/main/dessert from around $30, or also the a la carte option. Also, the waiter recommended a local wine which was a little cheaper than the one we had picked out, and was very nice.
the food was very tasty, and also nicely presented. I had a crab/coconut salad, followed by a ravioli dish. The highlight for me though was the lemon profiterole dessert.
