“Stylish and well-run hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2010

Had an excellent week at Hotel Ladinia in the small village of San Vito di Cadore. Efficiently run and personable hotel with very helpful staff, and a good restaurant serving a range of fresh, well-cooked local dishes.

What a lovely time we all had. We were amongst a group of 3 families with teenagers who decided to have a change from the chalet experience in France. We were warmly greeted on arrival and looked after really well for the week of our stay. The food was lovely with a varied menu each evening to choose from, celebrating regional produce and wines - delicious! Perfectly located 10 mins from Cortina, access to all the skiing was really easy with the added benefit of local skiing a few minutes from the hotel - great for beginners. The mountain restaurants had friendly staff also serving great regional dishes. We rented a 9 seater and 4 seater in Venice and had an easy drive (less than 2 hrs) up to San Vito. The spa in the hotel was lovely with a choice of 3 sauna's and steam room and relaxing hammocks to follow. We chose a modern junior suite with lovely walk in shower and spacious comfy bedroom. Thank you Family Peruz and staff for a really enjoyable week.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2009

We have stayed at the Park Ladinia for two Christmas vacations in a row with our three children 10,8, and 3. The hotel is run by a couple and they are fantastic in making you feel at home and they look after you like family. There is a new section, basically a new hotel connected to the original hotel, with very modern and stylish rooms, and a more traditional side that is dated by decorating standards but is very clean and comfortable. Don't expect a four star room in the traditional side, but the rest of the experience makes up for it. The spa is fantastic for a hotel of this size, it is brand new (opened December 19th, 2009) and stylish with three state of the art saunas, a great steam-room and a very cool area to relax in. There is also a great indoor pool for kids, although it would be nice if it opened earlier - hours are 10:30 until 8:00. There is also a small playroom for kids, when you first look at it it seems small, but my kids loved going there and it really has all that they need. Lastly, the breakfast is a bit simple and the same each morning, but seems to be all that you really need, but dinner is fantastic with a four-course meal each night with great choices and they are very good with providing the kids with a special meal - my kids ate Bolognese every night as a first and something as a second each night - and they are picky eaters. Sylvia, one of the owners, is a first-class wine picker and her wine recommendations for dinner are first-rate and reasonable 20 - 30 euros and from regional vineyards that you would not find on your own or in many other places. I think it is a great value for the money - especially compared with sky-high priced Cortina - which is easily visited with a ten-minute drive. We have booked for another weekend in March and will miss the hotel when we return to the states.

This hotel is a big disappointment for me and my family. On the web site you can see a beautiful hotel, recently renovated. When we got to the hotel we got the old room instead the one you can see on their web site. The room is small. We wanted a triple room, we got double room with an extra bed. Bedding was not changed for a week, towels from time to time. Breakfast was very poor. Dinner was OK. Restaurant was closed during lunch time. The playroom for children was not clean. Wireless Internet connection in the entire property. This means reception desk and part of the bar. The only positive thing that I can say about this hotel is a friendly staff.
