Nice Hotel with attentive staff. Food was very good shame the lighting is so bright in the resyaurant as it makes it not very relaxing. Excellent location near the ski hire shop, supermarket and bars. Hotel also has a jacuzzi and suana that you can book

Room Tip: 4th floor facing the car park

Booked to go to Sauze because some friends had already booked and we decided to join them. Had previously been put off Sauze because of its reputation as a bit "magaluf on snow" - We couldn't have been more wrong. Its a lovely resort with fab slopes and the skiing is great. The village is pretty and the back streets are all cobbled and good for a mooch. Could have been the fact that we had exceptional snow conditions but we loved it. Sansicario was awesome. We really had a fab time.

Stayed at the Relais - was spotlessly clean, pretty well located and the staff were friendly and attentive. Food was ok - mass produced - Better on some nights than others but there was plenty of it and you could always find something to eat. Asked for a high room - got 411 - no view but lovely and quiet. Best to get the bus up to Sportinia chair - Clotes is walkable but all uphill- still - it warms the legs up - Loved it - Would defo go back :-)

We have just returned from Sauze and this hotel was a great base. Ski shop next door and good boot room and the bus stop is just across the road which takes about 5 minutes to get to the lift. Don't even think about walking it! Buses were never busy. Rooms were a great size (we had a triple room). Lots of hanging space and beds were comfortable. Shower a bit small but everything always really clean. Food was good. Buffet breakfast and eggs cooked to order. Evening meal also buffet and a good selection - salads, soup, pasta and always a meat and vegetarian choice. House wine at 10 euros for a litre was also good. This holiday was excellent value for money and we would return here again.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a higher floor.

Stayed here for our annual boys ski trip last year. Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Can't fault the place at all. Food was great. Location is a short stroll into the centre of the village. The bus stops right outside the hotel so it's easy access to the slopes. Really friendly staff. Spotlessly clean all the time. The queens bar next to the hotel was a brilliant place for a après beer or 2.

My partner and I went to the Relais des Alps in March 2013 with Crystal Ski. The hotel is centrally located, has its own ski locker with boot dryers and also has a very convenient ski hire shop next door.

The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Sauze D'oulx about a 2 minute walk from the centre of the village. In the winter season the ski bus stops right outside the hotel. All of the hotels in the town need to use the bus to get to the slopes as the main lift (Sportina) is on the edge of the town.

The Queens bar in the hotel is really good and convenient if you fancy a night in instead of being out on the tiles. The hotel gives you 4 hours free wi-fi each day.

The restaurant let the hotel down a bit. It is a big restaurant, lit very bright and loud music - the atmosphere is not intimate in the slightest, imagine school dinner....

The food is buffet style, consequently it is lukewarm at best and a bit bland at times. Breakfasts are also buffet and never change - it all gets a bit boring after a week. We ate out a couple of nights (see my other reviews) to get away from the food

Overall the hotel is good, but let down by the food. But then I did not expect haute cuisine!

Staff are really friendly, the hotel manager is very visible always wearing a suit - he even eats in the hotel restaurant. Staff in the bar are great, the measures are HUGE!!

The staff in the hotel were very attentive and the food in the restaurant was good. There was plenty of choice so clients were able to find something to suit their palette.
The downside, the hotel was set in the centre of the village and therefore quite a hike to reach the slopes (although there was a free ski bus). the resort catered more for young people so the nights could be very noisy! The hotel would benefit from upgrading of fixtures and fittings.

This has to be the best run "ski" hotel I have been to. A lesson in how to run a hotel, The restaurant manager is on the floor 24/7(dressed in sharp Italian pinstripe suit) watching and managing, he even cuts up the cake for you! Food is excellent and staff were all helpful and pleasant, note: they were all Italian not some "uni gap year border" on a jolly, the bar was equally good with three bar staff that worked like Trojans and another ever watchful "suited" Manager. Whatever time we went to reception it was manned and nothing was A problem. Brilliant
