We found this restaurant in the Marco Polo guide. The welcome was, as we later discovered, similar to the food - chilly to say the least. Surroundings offered promise but the waiters were aloof and arrogant - I'm not sure they actually wanted customers in there.
We ordered steak and lamb chops. Though we weren't asked how we wanted the steak cooked we presumed it would be served succulent and delicious as any restaurant with self respecting chef would serve it. Sadly it was cooked to impressive shade of grey throughout but, incredibly, quite tender. The chops were tasty, but again, would have benefitted from a few less minutes on the grill. Wine good but top end prices.
The meal would have been acceptable if it hadn't been for the hefty price tag, for which you'd usually expect top end quality, and the dire attitude of the waiters. If they understood that the food was only part of the experience and that making customers feel welcomed was the other it has the potential to be a pleasant experience.
