“Paradise in the Italian lakes region”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

Stayed at this hotel at the end of August and all the previous reviews in Trip Advisor proved accurate. The hotel is located in a quiet suburb of Riva del Garda and only a 20 minute walk by the lake brings you to the centre and ferry port.
The food at night was exceptional by hotel standards and the availability of breakfast on the roof beside the pool was a bonus - what scenery. All the staff were very professional and well trained in customer service. The accommodation was superb - not surprising with such a new hotel.
Would definitely stay here again - no complaints.

Room Tip: We were upgraded to a 4th floor room and had a lovely view of the mountains at the rear of the hotel...

Hotel was great, rooms were spacious and clean with a lovely bathroom. Short walk along the lake to the centre of Riva. Could only rent 'free' bikes for a minimum of 4 hours and they were not in great condition - brakes/gears needed oiling etc. they were more 'about town' bikes do great if you only wanted to use them to nip into Riva or cycle leisurely down the cycle path along the river but not for proper cycling. The breakfast buffet was ok, lots of choice but felt it lacked a bit of something. Bread was also terrible, which is not what I expected when going to Italy. I expect fresh focaccia and schiacciata but instead got stale white and brown buns-we had to hunt out a bakery in town off via Florida to get some proper Italian bread. Dinners were wry good however, 3 courses with a salad buffet. Food was great, brilliant pasta dishes and the tuna steak was cooked to perfection. Sky pool on 6th floor was great to relax next to although we only did this one afternoon. Good view of the Lake but the pool was freezing.. definite necessity to swim to keep warm!

We had a great time at this hotel. The room was clean and we'll air conditioned. The shower was excellent.

There was a good selection for breakfast. Evening meals were great but you do need to be a bit adventurous to get the best from the menu. One small gripe is that you can't order a glass of wine with your meal. They will sell a bottle however. I noticed other couples got their wine recorked and we're able to use it over a few nights. It would have been nice if this option had been explained to us earlier in our week. That however is a very minor complaint.

The sky pool bar has a nice pool and the barman Michaelangelo is friendly and is the goto man for any sightseeing tips.

Free bike hire from the hotel was a nice bonus which we made the most of.

There were no surprises when we went to settle our bill and we left veyy content with our week in riva.

Riva is one of the nicest places I have ever been. Beautiful location, beautiful people and great food. Will be back!

From the moment we arrived till the end of our 12 day stay here it surpassed all expectations . Top marks to all the friendly staff and special mention to the head chef and Marcos the maitre d' who commanded a first class kitchen . This family who run the hotel have many years experience in the area and have all qualities of an international group but make you feel at home in an informal environment. The location is great for everyone's demands including activities on the lake , rock climbing , cycling , boat journeys to other towns or just soaking up the sun by the roof terrace pool admiring the amazing views of Lake Garda . A first class hotel at a reasonable price.

Room Tip: nearly all rooms do not have a lake view , 3 sides of the hotel directly look over a car park , the...

This was truly a wonderful hotel and worthy of it's 4 stars. Staff were unbelievably polite. And the hotel is well situated to Riva and all of its beauty.

The hotel is fairly modern in decor, extremely clean, and always accommodating. They were eager to help make a reservation or suggest an excursion. Top-notch hotel with a top-notch staff.

One of the best things about this hotel is waking-up and heading to the pool deck on floor 6 for free breakfast. The views are breathtaking.

Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
