Staying at the Scudo di Francia was everything a hotel should be - clean, spacious rooms, great bathrooms(marble/tile and good showers) with a good cup of coffee or cappucino in the morning(and a nice buffet) and a welcoming smile whenever you passed by the reception area. The hotel's restaurant has amazing dinner menu-obviously the chef knows his way around the kitchen-and the prices are reasonable. The Staff are so cheerful and helpful - they booked cabs, helped us find other restaurants nearby, made arrangements at hotels in other cities, and even printed the train schedule - they were wonderful. I would definitely return and this time bring my family. On rainy afternoons they made tea for us and served it in the little salon off the reception area - <sigh> it was a great hotel - with good rates and good location.
