If you want to be double charged for one stay - it's your hotel! After I have discovered that I was charged twice and contacted the hotel I was offered apologies and generously HALF of the charge was transfered to my account

Il Croccichio Regello - Excellent stay - this is considered one of the first Agritourist ventures in the region and it supports grapes and olives. At the time of our visit the restaurant was under renovation so we cannit comment on the food. The building has a range of accomodation that is warm, clean, modern yet maintaing the rustic country ambience. It is about 2 kms from Reggello. The owner Sonya and her daughter Simona are extremely pleasant and helpful. They both speak fluent english and maintain a very high standard. Well worth the experience and we would love to stay in the summer months.

Stayed here with a group tour. It was the only hotel we used that was not in a major city, and it was a nice change of pace. The Villa was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The room that we stayed in was in a 4 room building that was seperate from the main building. Grounds around and to this area were well kept. The room itself was large with a loft that had a TV and couch in that area. The bathroom was large and we had a shower with folding sides and doors. Bed was comfortable and storage for clothes and luggage was more than adequate. Room was airy and bright, heat worked when needed.

This was our favorite place to stay on the entire tour. This is an "agriturismo" site - a working vineyard that has rooms available for tourists. It is a family-run business. The room we were shown to was at the top of a block of 4 rooms, and had its own little staircase and light. The room had no handle on the outside, so you opened it with the key.

Inside, it was huge! Tiled floor, with radiator heat (no A/C that we could detect). Queen sized bed, with a twin sized bed in the corner. Choice of pillows - hard or soft in the wardrobe. Our room looked east, onto the grounds and vineyards. It had a minibar, large desk, tv, and a wardrobe. Few hangers in the wardrobe - nothing on which to hang pants. Hooks on the wall for coats and the like. One chair at the desk.

The bathroom was also huge, and had a high window that opened with a servomotor. It had a bidet in addition to the normal toilet, plus sink with a great assortment of amenities - like shampoo, lotion, sewing kit and shower cap. It also had the smallest shower imaginable - just a raised area on the floor, a showerhead, and a weird fold-up contraption for the shower curtain that allowed water to leak everywhere. Luckily they provided lots of huge, fluffy towels. Our tour group laughingly referred to the radiator in the bathroom as the "towel warmer".

My husband was able to use Wi-Fi in the room with no problem. I don't know about other Internet access.

Breakfast was okay - yogurt and "cocoa puffs" (no other cereal), plus pound cake, pastries and Melba Toast things. Great coffee. Nothing else hot.

The wines that they made there were outstanding for a house wine, cheap and plentiful. Meals were very good there, too.

Laundry was available too. Again, itty bitty front end loaders for 5 euros (includes wash powder), another 2.5 euros to dry.

There is a swimming pool, which looked to be immaculately clean, and the pool deck was also clean.

The grounds were well maintained and there were walking paths. Word of warning - the ropes around the vineyards are electrified!

We stayed at Villa Il Crocicchio in September 2006 as part of a tour and I must say that the accomodations exceeded our expectations. The villa is an old, beautifully renovated farmhouse set among vineyards and olive groves. The grounds are beautiful, restful and surround a large pool which provided much welcomed respite from the hot Tuscan sun. Our room was a spacious, comfortably furnished 1 bedroom apartment. The villa has a wonderful bar and restaurant. On 2 nights we dined alfresco in the garden and rate the meals as some of the best we had during our 2 week tour of France and Italy. The highlight of our stay was getting to know the hostess, Sonia, who takes great pride in providing her guests with a memorable experience. I highly recommend Il Crocicchio as a base for exploring Tuscany. If you're lucky, as we were, Sonia might share with you a bottle of rare vintage wine from her private cellar.

After spending several days in the busy city of Rome, coming to this country estate was a welcome change. I would consider it more of a bed and breakfast type accommodation. The property is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards that are farmed by the owners. The setting is lovely and the swimming pool and grounds are very well kept. It is a lovely , inspiring place to take a walk or hike, or use the bikes to take in the mountain and valley views. We had an upper floor triple room (separate bedroom); a fold out bed in the other room worked fine for our daughter. It was spacious, including a kitchen and table set. The bathroom was small but adequate. We had two evening meals there and they were fantastic and the wait staff really worked hard to make it a memorable meal. We noticed in the hotel's photo album that many people have used this Villa for their wedding and reception because it is so picturesque. It was about a 20 minute drive to the city center of Florence, but felt many miles away from the hustle-and-bustle of a city. I would not hesitate to recommend this Villa!

We were there in late Sept. as part of a Rick Steve's tour, we missed the grape harvest by one week unfortunately. It is a lovely place, a restored, modernized farm house with large self contained apartments with kitchens, large bathrooms, all very nice and spacious.
It is also a working vinyard and olive grove from which their own affordable and very good wines and olive oil are produced.
There are many amenities including a pool and children's play ground. Unless you eat at the Inn or prepare your own meals it is a bit of a trip to go off the property. Their meals, while acceptable where not a high light.
All in all, it is a fine property and gives good value for the dollar with pleasant hosts.
. Would definitely go back again.
