“infinity of beauty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

We arrived in Ravello on a beautiful afternoon of November with a group of 15 .The journey to the villa began from the main piazza on a slightly ascending road to the villa. This road in itself is worth of making it even if the villa is closed. After about 20 minutes we reaxhed the villa. At the entrace you receive a map which shows you the recommanded walk itinerary. You can do it in half an hour or in two hours. Each step each corner reveals another jem of gardening ingenosity.
The landscape and botany of the six hectares of park is one of the most important found in this Mediterranean area. The highlight is of course the Terrace of Infinity. Most visitors rush directly there as if afraid that it will disapear if you walk slowly. The view is fantastic and the cameres are clicking a lot.The coast of Amalfi was blessed with this beauty too. What else will you see in the park:the Crypt, the Avenue of Immensity,a set of marble statues including that of Ceres, the statue of David and more.
It will be an experience which I don't know which other one will make it fade away.

“Beautiful place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013

We visited this place in October on a very sunny day. Even tough they asked for 7 Euro entry it is definetly worth the money. Not only the garden, but also the views over the ocean was extremely nice. Everything has been maintained in a perfect manner and you could dring coffee and eat snacks in a lovely and peaceful small paradise

“Unsurpassed Views on the Amalfi Coast Bella!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

If you stop by to visit the town of Ravello, please don't miss out on the absolutely stunning views and gardens of Villa Cimbrone. The Point of Infiniti is truly amazing. The property is a bit of a walk up to the Hotel, however, so well worth the fabulous beauty, and peaceful surroundings!
For a very special experience, Dinner at Villa Cimbrone is outstanding and memorable. The gardens are a perfect romantic ending to a wonderful dinner! Best to check the times and days available to walk the gardens. Entrance cost is minimal. The gift shop is a great stop for a special memento of your trip. Enjoy!

“The Heads make it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

The garden of Villa Cimbrone is further out of the centre of Ravello than Villa Rufolo but is well worth the walk because it, too, has something very special - the heads! At the far end of the garden is the terrace built to provide another spectacular view over the Amalfi Coast and lined with Greek or Roman (I can never tell one from t'other) busts.

This garden has more of the classic statues unlike Villa Rufolo which concentrates on modern art. All statues are placed in perfect settings, be they on the lawns, among the plants or given pride of place on the terrace.

Unlike Rufolo which was a riot of colour this garden was more subdued with vast areas of green foliage of one kind or another. It also offers far more shade so would be an ideal garden to visit at the height of summer as there are plenty of garden benches along the central path on which to relax.

The Villa itself is a small hotel and some parts of the garden are reserved for use by hotel guests. However the major attraction - the terrace with its heads - is fully open to the public. Also don't overlook the cloister near the entrance which can so easily be missed. [Hint - the entrance is just opposite the toilets!]

Come and be prepared to be amazed.

“Great garden with great views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

My wife and I spent a couple of hours here taking in the incredible views of the Mediterranean and the Amalfi coast as well as admiring the design of the gardens and choice of plantings. Walking the avenues and terraces really does give a special feeling of peace and tranquility. We also appreciate the effort that goes into preserving these historic properties. This is a popular spot for tourists for good reason so understand you will not be walking these gardens in solitude
