“Great Sunday lunch with friends!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

Booked two tables for a total of 14 people. We managed between ourselves to confuse booking but head waiter was extremely professional and attentive. the tables were set up a couple of times until eventually we found a space to put one table to accommodate everyone. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive despite our mistake. We shared pasta incalamarata, gnocchi, salad with burratta, the special fish of the day sea bass in aquapazzo style and linguine with clams. Food was very good, the exception was the special dish of the day (fish was less than 100 grams), miniscule portion but great taste. Rest of portions were goood. Extensive wine list in both whites and reds. Desert (lemon cake ) was excellent. The view in this place is amazing, the entire set up, atmosphere, gardens , overall a very unique experience. We tried to book for dinner as the menu changes and it has a great reputation but place was fully booked.

“Best overall dining experience to date”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

We have eaten at our share of excellent and/ or otherwise highly rated restaurants. This was by far the best overall dining experience to date. This is truly a Michelin experience and, although expensive, delivered great value. The food was imaginative, beautifully presented, and flavourful. The staff were knowledgeable of the food (explaining 15+ ingredients in some of the dishes) and wine (great depth of explanation of local and other wines). The views from Villa Cimbrone, host location of the restaurant, must be among the most beautiful in the world. I believe the restaurant is well on its way to its next M-star. A couple tips - sit outside and order the tasting menu with wine pairing.

We were fortunate enough to be sitting outside under a clear sky and full moon, which lights up the sea below - truly a romantic experience.

Grazie Mille Il Flauto di Pan!

“Devine food, excellent service and spectacular view. Don't miss it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

Visited for lunch to get away from the hordes of tourists, even though this is in Villa Cimbrone, and we were delighted. The service was excellent, the view spectacular and the food the best we have enjoyed in Amalfi. We had the insalata di calamari for antipasto which was superb. We then shared the la calamarata and the grigliata mista which were also fresh and delicious. The dessert of delizia al limone, a local specialty, was the best dessert we've ever tasted!! It's pricey but well worth it and we would come back when we next visit Ravello. Don't forget to enjoy the tour of the villa's gardens to walk off the divine food. If you're visiting Ravello from Amalfi, then beat the crowds and jump on the comfortable hop on hop off (red) sight seeing open roof bus for 3€.

“Wonderful meal and evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

We visited Il Flauto di Pan to celebrate my husband's birthday and had a wonderful meal and a very special evening. We were slighlty apprehensive as we were with our children and hoped that they would also both enjoy the meal and feel comfortable. We needn't have worried we were all made very welcome and they loved the meal from start to finish. The waiters asked questions about anything we couldn't eat and altered the meal to accommodate a food allergy. The meal and evening were almost like a piece of theatre and we spent a fantastic five hours at Villa Cimbrone as we visited the gardens for an hour before dining.
The food itself was delicious - three of us had the small tasting menus - both the fish and meat tasting menus - and one had a la carte. All menus were varied and beautifully presented. The only sad fact was that even though we ate over the course of four hours, we were still just too full to finish the wonderful chocolates at the end of the meal.

“Spot on”

Wonderful service, beautiful setting. Food is as you would expect of a Michelin star restaurant. Also very child friendly, they were very accommodating of our 8 year old.
