“Average food, nice view.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

If you're staying at the hotel, you already know how sweet the view is. However, the food was VERY average and overpriced. And the service was lazy. Being outside, expect gnats buzzing around your food. Not worth the money. Made me feel like a tourist who just got taken.

“Wonderful view, great service, fab food but quite pricey”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

I'm a little biased writing this as the reason this was the best meal of my live was partly due to the fact that I got engaged here! I'll try be impartial - yes, it's expensive, but the food, service and wine list genuinely are 5 Star. The view is to die for, make sure to get a table in the early evening so you can sit and watch the sun set. you need to book 6 weeks before to get a table on the edge of the balcony but I highly recommend this. Everything from the caprese salad starter, beef carpaccio, homemade tortellini and steak was perfection. We finished with a cheese board which was very well selected. The staff knew that my fiancée was planning to propose and went to every length to make the meal memorable. Overall I'd definitely recommend this for a special occasion or romantic meal. I'll definitely return and stay in the hotel next time!

“Beautiful Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

A hotel restaurant this is not. One would travel from afar to get here. The romance, the ambience, the fresh cuisine, the service
all hands down the best in the world. The staff makes you feel like this dinner event was planned for you. The 6 course meal we had included freshly made mozzarella cheese, sautéed fish, pasta and a delicate meat dish, calamari, fruite & cheese plate.

I would go back for any one of these treats, each dish was not like any I have ever had. The cheese and cured meats are different in Italy. Also loved the lemon dishes, Ravello is the lemon capital. I dream of this food and would go back just to eat here again.

“Excellent lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

The food and service were excellent. However, the wine list was one of the more steeply marked up ones that we encountered on our trip.

“Nice but not fantastic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

Indeed I expected something more from this fantastically located restaurant. The service is attentive but lack of style/class. Food was good, but not sure you need to spend that money to get that quality that is pretty a standard in this part of Italy, where fresh seafood and vegetable are widely available even in the cheap tavernas of the coast. Wine list is excellent but as you would expect overpriced. The view is indeed amazing, but is the same from Villa Amore, so you do not need to spend 200 Euros to enjoy it. We had a lovely evening, but not sure I would come back
Please note that strangely VAT is not included in the menu prices and 10% will be added to your bill. Found this a bit weird given the location, is not US....and also VAT on wine should be 21% then or ?
