We spent 2 nights at this beautifully restored private Palace in Ragusa, including Valentine's Day.
We stayed on the first floor in Suite Ginestra with the original curved roofing and stone showing in the room. The room was very spacious and lots of natural light as well as mood lighting, with a complimentary coffee espresso machine. The bathroom was equipped with first class amenities, and fluffy huge bath towels.
It only has 12 rooms in all and each is different. The bed with sheets with antique french lace was sumptious to sleep in. The paintings and furnishings were very elegant and of the finest quality.
The food was a set "degustation" of superior taste of Sicilian dishes of the local area. Reminiscent of Alain Ducasse Bistro in Paris.
All staff speak english and French and are most courteous, happy and helpful.
Breakfast is buffet style but you can ask for bacon and eggs!
Try the spa centre which is spotless, relaxing and only by appointment which means you have the facilities for yourself.
The only suggestion I would make to management is that perhaps one good light near the wardrobe would be helpful , and also one in the Turkish bath for safety reasons..
Valet parking is E10 per day and the use of the spa is extra also.
