“romans”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

Great tour guides available on hand who speak good English! There are a lot of places which are off-limits so be careful with where you tred before getting told off. We didn't go to the tower which was a shame as I did want to go and see it. It is well worth the visit if you are into ancient ruins. Visit - May 2011.

“Amaza scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013

I liked the beautiful scenery of Nora and all the information that our guide gave us. You must have a guide or an audio tour with you to appreciate the ruins

“Goup tours only”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

This is good site in a lovely position but we were rather disappointed that we had to go with a tour guide and a group of c 40 people with a commentary at each spot first in Italian and then in English (but by a very sweet girl). They seem to run once an hour so you may have to wait a bit. Not only did this make this more drawn out but also that you had to go in a certain direction ratehr than exploring yourself and getting a better overall feel.

“worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

Although not the most spectacular site,i have visited, our tour of ancient,Nora was still worthwhile. The remains are mainly Roman although some remnants of the original Phoenician town are apparent . It is still being excavated so visitors cannot roam at will but have to be shown around by a tour guide. But the tour quality is excellent; informative and clear. And you get a view of the excavations in progress. It was a good introduction to archaeology for our nearly 4 year old,and easy enough for him to navigate with a little help in places. But it,would be hardgoing for anyone with mobility issues.

“A must-see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

This is definitely a must-go if you are in the area. There is a really nice welcome area, where you can sit while waiting for the tour to start. The guides are very nice, friendly and helpful and will take you on a tour of the site providing you very exhaustive information - extremely fascinating!
