Firstly, this is not gastronomic heaven. It's a straightforward, well-priced pizzeria situated on the Piazza del Popolo, ideal for watching the passegiata, and serves very good pizzas, pretty good pasta (spaghetti alle vongole in particular) and a few fish/meat dishes. We've never been in high season, but Pula is a living town that doesn't depend only on the summer tourist trade; local people seem to be the main clientele, and our experiences (as foreigners) at Easter and in late October have always been very positive: prompt and smiling service, a tolerant attitide to kids, value for money on the plate.
Good spritz for aperitivi (Campari better then Aperol), good coffee; only wobbly: a caipirinha with strawberries?
