“Terrific Villa in a Beautiful Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

The rooms are spacious with vaulted ceilings and tastefully furnished. There is a gorgeous view of the Mediterranean from the huge front balcony, where we enjoyed breakfasts at the outdoor dining table. To the side of the property is a large private lanai landscaped with lemon trees and bougainvillea. The kitchen is small but contains everything we needed for the minimal cooking we did. The bathrooms were clean, and relatively large. Having a dishwasher and washing machine was convenient. The internet service is usable, but not the fastest. There is an upstairs bedroom with two single beds that we never used. Enza, the caretaker, was extremely nice and helpful. She promptly fixed two issues we had (outer gate not opening/closing correctly, water heater not working). The only real negative we encountered were the beds, which were hard and uncomfortable. When we discussed this with Enza, she said she would order new toppers for the mattresses, but they wouldn't arrive until after we left. All in all, this was a fabulous vacation spot, that was not mobbed by tourists. Waking up every morning with the sun rising over the Mediterranean was truly magical!

“a perfect ten vacation villa for Amalfi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014 for a stay in December 2013

I gave it a perfect ten because:

1. A gorgeous Southern Italian villa with breathtaking panoramic view of the Amalfi from the front porch of the villa as well as the rooms; nothing beats waking up to a great view! It is an East facing villa so you get a view of sunrise too.
2. Tastefully furnished - very traditional very Italian
3. Kitchen is equipped with great oven perfect for roasting/baking and all that are required to cook a meal
4. Conveniently location - it is right beside the main road so less the headache of struggling your luggage on winding stairs
5. Easy access to Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento etc via bus which is just a short walk downhill
6. 5 minutes walk to supermarket and they have good varieties of stuffs....from selections of wines to meat, vegetables and household items
7. 2 minutes walk to a great restaurant - Mama, a family run restaurant Hotel - Hotel Margherita
8. Close proximity to beautiful beaches - it is worth exploring even in midst of winter. The view along the way at every corner is awesome and simply breathtaking
9. Value for money - it is a true bargain!!!
10. Great manager and host - Francesco is efficient and attentive. Enza who is the grand daughter of the owner of the villa is bubbly and very helpful. I am in love with the hospitality of Southern Italian :)

“Pure heaven”

From our initial contact with the booking agent Francesco to our final day, everything about the villa was perfect. Francesco couldn't have been more helpful through the booking process, answering all our questions patiently and quickly, and once we got to the villa we found it exactly as the photos and descriptions described it. Inside it was spacious, airy, comfortable, spotless and well-appointed. Outside areas were gorgeous, with two big terraces that offered lots of space for sunbathing, reading in the shade and of course meals al fresco; eating breakfast every morning with the stunning views of the Amalfi coast in front of us was pure heaven. Service was faultless too; being very fussy guests, we had a couple of requests - for some reading lights and other bits and pieces - and these were delivered the same day we requested them. Finally, the location's excellent, within easy walking distance of a really good supermarket which gets fresh fruit and vegetables delivered daily, a good selection of restaurants, the centre of town and bus-stops to Amalfi, Sorrento and Positano.. we'd hired a car and didn't use it once as it was so easy to take buses everywhere.

“Stunning Views and beautiful location away from the hassle of the main centres.”

The Property is located above the main town of Praiano on a street that has a couple of good restaurants and also a supermarket within 5 minutes walk. There is also a bus stop almost at the front gate for the Red Buses that run between Positano and the beach at La Praia. (Tips on the red bus while I'm at it. You can buy tickets on board but if you buy the tickets at the supermarket you save 0.40 euro and you can buy a bunch of them and use them as needed. During high season the buses never run on time due to the traffic so use the timetable as a guide only. The Bus route is a little confusing as it does a loop in the upper part of Praiano and there is a one way road section so buses going to both locations (Positano and La Praia) pass here going in the same direction, you need to make sure you get the bus going in the right direction for your final destination - read the front of the bus carefully or you end up in the wrong place)
So Back to the Villa.
It has two very large rooms with a queen size bed seperated by a large lounge/sitting room. These all open out on to the spacious balcony that is perfect for a view of the sunrise with your morning coffee or a
the two bathrooms and kitchen

“Fantastic view”

This was a great villa on the Amalfi coast. We were two families of four that fit comfortable in the space. Two teenage boys had to share a hide a bed, two teenage girls slept upstairs in single beds and the kitchen is quaint. The bedrooms are spacious and the outdoors areas are perfect for scenic views of the ocean both day and night. The ocean itself is a bit of a trek to get to. There are many stairs and paths but it is worth it. A personal water taxi will take you to a private beach for 10E or rent a boat to Capri for 500E for the day and swim in the grotto's. Visit the Africana Bar in a cave and El Pirata restaurant on the water.
Although a bit of a challenge to get to through the winding hillside, it is the most amazing area to visit and relax.
