“15 minute walk from Positano, which gives great view!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

As previous reviewers said, the owner, Felix, was very helpful. He gave us good restaurant recommendations and we also had a nice prepared meal one night at the B&B/hotel. We were a little upset about the price since he told us days before it would be around 30-35 Euro each but it turned out to be more like 50 Euro each. We never figured out why, though the food was very good. He makes his own Limoncello which is included in the price of dinner, as is wine.

We had a huge grass patio overlooking Positano and a nice room. The only complaint was since the room was next to the pen where he keeps his very friendly dog, we periodically could smell dog pee out on the patio. It wasn't too big a deal as we are both dog lovers.

All in all, good price for a good stay.

I can't stay enough good things about my recent stay at this hotel. The view from the "spotless" room was amazing. Surrounded by lemon trees, olive trees, flowers and the unbelievable view of the Mediterranean Sea make this place "heaven on earth". The owner, Felix, is more than accommodating. He has a lot of pride in his property. He is an amazing cook and a wonderful host. The breakfast was great and served on a little terrace outside each morning. I was there on my birthday and Felix made me a wonderful dinner and added a homemade cake. Felix surprised me with a bouquet of roses that morning. Like everywhere on the Amalfi coast, there area many stairs. If stairs are a problem for you, this could be the only drawback for you here. Amazing vaction for us. We have been to Italy 8 times in the last l5 years and this had to be best place we have stayed. Keep up the good work, Felix.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2011

My partner and I stayed here for two nights in July and were a bit disappointed given the otherwise positive reviews form others. We found the cost of the accommodation (150euro per night B&B) was far too expensive for the quality of the room even though we recognise that Positano is one of the most expensive places on the Amalfi coast. This was the most expensive place we stayed in during our whole trip down the coast and unfortunately the most disappointing.
Rooms have been described as "rustic" which is being quite polite - it's okay, basic, slight hostel feel, very small and dark bathroom (no window), a shower curtain that needs a change so smelt a bit damp. Fine, but not for 150 euros! There is a safe in the room which the owner will tell you the pin number to - we found this very strange and not at all secure seeing as the whole point of a safe is to have a number only known by yourself!
Okay if you can get a better rate than we did.

We stayed here for a few nights for a family reunion. What a great place. The views were great! The rooms were basic and a bit rustic, but you don't come here to spend time in your room. Breakfast was the usual: cereal, breads, coffee, yogurt. We were most pleased with the service. Great recommendations on restaurants. And being that we are about a 10 minute walk into town, we found out through Felix that the restaurants will pick us up for free. The private beach is very nice. Great for a spritz and a bit of time at the beach. It is a long 250 steps down there (yes, we counted), but very nice. We had Felix make us dinner for two nights. The food was good and very fresh. Not the place to stay if you have trouble getting around, but I would definitely return!

We spent 4 nights here and found it the best place we stayed at on our 3 week trip. Felix in an incredible cook. We arrived late and didnt have time to eat before we got there. We did not expect there to be dinner but it was offered so we thought we would give it a try. BEST meals of our entire trip!! We ate here 3 of 4 nights and regreted not eating there every night. I wouldnt say the dinner is cheap - but well worth the money. Funny thing is every time I asked Felix how much dinner was he would say dont worry about it or he will get me a bill later and I didnt find out until we checked out. Was a bit afriad but in the end it was fine.

Felix is extremely helpful and can get whatever you need. He hooked us up with scooters that were delivered to the B&B, as well as a trip to Capri which was incredible. Execptional host.

Beach is nice - a bit of a hike down and up the stairs so dont forget anything.

You have a bit of a walk to town on a bit of a scary road but the walk to this B&B is well worth it.

The view from your room will be incredible as well. Room is simple but very clean.

Absolutly loved staying here and wouldnt even look at a different place if we go back.

As we traveled outside the season, many hotels were closed and we did not have accommodation pre-booked so we were very happy to find this place. It has beautiful terrace gardens, rooms are clean, simply furnished, airy and have beautiful views. Simple, but tasty breakfast is served on the lower terrace , so you enjoy the view of Possitano while sipping your cappuccino. The owner is very helpful and friendly , so is the local pet - the cat& turtle.
We loved the views and did not mind the walk to the beach (over 250 steps) but we were not sure how it would be in the peak season - this just suited us perfect as it was with no crowds and no sweating going up and down.

For a lot less than you'll pay in Positano itself, you get a very good B&B in a beautiful location.

Felix, who runs the place, is very friendly and helpful and will make great efforts to make sure you have a good stay.

The beach by the B&B is nice. It's only a stony beach, but then that is also the case for the main beach in Positano. It is around 250 steps down from the B&B though. Fine on your way to the beach, but challenging on the return!

Positano is about a 15-20 minute walk along the road. For those who don't want to walk along it, you can also get there by going down the steps to the beach and up the other side. But that's definitely only advisable for the fit.

The only slight quibble I'd have relates to the parking. It's not worth paying the extra when it is perfectly possible to park on the road outside the establishment. Also, as you leave your car to be parked for you and it's only a B&B, it can be a problem to find someone to get your car in and out outside core hours.
