“Absolute paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

We have rented apartments here twice and frankly, now it is the only place we consider when going to Positano. Our first time we stayed in the honeymoon suite which is absolutely spectacular. We barely left the apartment the whole week. The views are breathtaking; so armed with wine, limoncello, and food, why would we ever want to leave. Of course, we did leave the apartment as we love Positano, but we were rewarded with our return to the apartment. The honeymoon suite is perfect for a special romantic getaway. You have a private plunge pool with a perfect view down to the port, two fabulous spacious terraces for relaxing, sunbathing, and taking in Positano from above. As for amenities, there are two showers, each with something special. One has all sorts of jets for a water massage shower and the other has a window to enjoy the view of Positano while showering. The kitchen is perfect for those that want to cook lots or a little. It is a serious hike up to the apartment, but such a a reward for your effort and justifies that gelato or pastry you ate in town.

This summer we wanted to come back, but the honeymoon suite was booked. So we booked Sole. It was everything we hoped for. Spacious, clean, filled with the amenities we needed. And best of all a fabulous terrace with two dining tables (one in the sun and one shaded with plants and flowers), lounge chairs, and a swing. We missed our nightly swims in the private plunge pool in the honeymoon suite, but our daily pool needs were perfectly met with the shared pool. Same spectacular view of Positano!

The only thing better than the gorgeous apartments with great amenities and views is the Fiorentino family. Domenico is there to make sure your stay is perfect. Not only is he an amazing host, but also a talented artists. We are very proud to have prints of two of his paintings in our home so we can dream of Positano. Each morning I looked forward to chatting with Mama Fiorentino and of course, she stopped by with special treats for us like a bottle of wine or our favorite, her daughter Paola's spectacular sweets. You will truly count yourself lucky to eat Paola's cooking. Out of this world!!! Since I love to cook, we haven't had Paola cater for us yet. But this past trip we already started to talk to Paola about planning a big party for my 50th! Although I don't think we can wait that long.

A stay at Villa Fiorentino is pure paradise! Stunning views of Positano and warm and caring hosts.

Room Tip: Book the Honeymoon suite for romantic seclusion. But you can't go wrong with any of the apartme...

Stayed in top apartment for 2 nights with amazing views.

Accommodation is dated and in need of some freshen up, with the mountain of stairs and no parking a nightmare.......

Lacks some privacy also as can see into apartments below and people passing windows to pool access. Also we were in most the day catching up on some R&R and concrete drilling happening for good part of the day which was distracting.

Great for full laundry and kitchen facilities tho appliances leaked and washer doesn't spin fully so,drying lengthy.

Other than that great stay and due to steps most likely would not return..

Grazie,

Room Tip: 160 steps to top so tread carefully.....

Villa Fiorentino was absolutely fantastic!
We had the entire Villa for 5 nights which easily accommodated for 20+ people. We also held our wedding reception in the Villa on the terrace. The whole thing was incredible - picture perfect and I'm not just saying that. The service from Paola, Domenico and the whole Fiorentino Family was incredible. Far exceeded our expectations from the start. There were so many little suprises along our stay and on the wedding day which made the experience that little bit extra special. Paola & Domenico helped with bookings, shipping baggage back home - pretty much anything you needed. Will be back!!

We have stayed at Villa Fiorentino several times, each time with extended family. Some things we especially LOVE: (a) it is great for extended families or other groups because a group can rent 2-3 bedroom apartments, and everyone is close to each other to be able to meet for meals and activities, while everyone can have their own privacy, (b) is much better than hotel because there is a kitchen and laundry facilities in each apartment, and most of all, (c) the Fiorentino family is so hospitable!!!! Villa Fiorentino is the best of all worlds because it is staying in a private home and Dominico and Paola help with all arrangements for dinners, boats, drivers, etc.---so all of the amenities of a hotel but all the comforts of home. We loved their restaurant suggestions (especially places that are not in the guidebooks), and the arrangements they made for a private boat to Capri and drivers (for pick-up in Naples; day trip to Ravello and Cetara; and drive back to Rome airport). They also are more flexible about bookings than most villas because rentals do not need to be Saturday-Saturday, but can be for any number of days. Although we like to explore new places, we wind up coming back to Villa Fiorentino over and over again and we have referred a LOT of people there, all of whom have loved it. The only complaint we have ever heard from anyone we referred was from a female professional woman who stayed there with her mother---they felt it was TOO ROMANTIC for them to enjoy under their circumstances.....

Room Tip: There are a lot of stairs, so (until an elevator can be installed), this would not be a suitable loc...

We recently stayed in the honeymoon suite of villa Fiorentino for 2 glorious weeks. The apartment is stunning, palatial and absolutely private, the views awesome and the location brilliant. The one downside however are the 160 stairs that you need to go up to reach the apartment. These stairs are outside, some are quite steep and wrap around the building so it's an effort climbing them a couple of times a day especially after enduring all the stairs of Positano itself. These stairs are made more frustrating by the fact that the possibility exists to create a back entrance to the apartment from the street behind, which would mean virtually no stair climb. However, despite all these stairs, there is absolutely no doubt that its worth the climb as when you get there its just magical and we just threw ourselves in our private pool and were instantly cooled down and in heaven. We had the privelage of meeting the lovely Paula who prepared a decadent feast for us on our second last night in the apartment and shared with us stories of the Fiorentino family and the history of the villa but apart from this we were left pretty much on our own which suited us as we like our privacy and independence. Whilst the suite is absolutely stunning, there were a few things that are a bit tired like the pool towells (which were not replaced once during our 2 week stay), the covers on the sofas and the ironing board. Just a shame that these minor details were overlooked because everything else was literally heavenly. We would definitely go back.

Room Tip: The honeymoon suite is divine but you need to be fit!

This is a delayed review, but still the memory of Villa Fiorentino is as fresh as if we were there yesterday. It was an amazing experience, and what made it special was the Fiorentino family. It was like being welcomed into their home. We were treated to home grown olives, and afternoon discussions with Dr. Fiorentino who shared his insights and family history. Excellent restaurant recommendations were made, and reservations arranged, resulting in one restaurant sending a private car to pick us up.

The accommodation was great and the private large terrace was absolutely amazing. Positano is a magical place and we certainly hope to return one day!

We rented the entire villa for our wedding celebration, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice! We had debated between two other locations, and we're so glad we chose Villa Fiorentino in Positano.

Our family and friends rented out all rooms for five nights and had the wedding ceremony and dinner reception at their beautiful outdoor terrace. The views were AMAZING, simply breath-taking. The villa is positioned quite high on the cliff, making for exceptional scenery and a peaceful location, away from the main beach area. Though it's quite a climb up and down the stairs to get into the main part of this small town, we certainly didn't mind and enjoyed the experience- quite original from anywhere else we'd stayed (and we've explored several parts Europe).

Simply stated, the villa perfectly suited our needs. My husband and I wanted a charming, family-run villa to fit our family-themed wedding celebration/vacation. We wanted a very traditional "Italian" feel (versus a fancy, luxury modern villa), which is the exact vibe the villa evoked. We needed a place to lodge 24 guests and a terrace that could serve 40 people for dinner, which the villa easily accommodated. We wanted it to feel exclusive, and its location provided just that. Most importantly, we wanted the breath-taking views that we repeatedly gawked at in travel books and magazines- Villa Fiorentino didn't disappoint.

Even when I first began my correspondence back in Nov/Dec 2010, Aristide and Antonio quickly and efficiently answered my inquiries via email within 24-48 hours. This, in fact, was the selling point for me- constant, reliable communication from the start, especially since my husband and I were planning everything from San Francisco, and we'd never visited the Amalfi Coast.

I think folks need to understand that Positano is, indeed, a small town with Italian hospitality. Yes, at times during the year, it can be a bit pricey, but Positano is the most scenic, expensive town along the coast; this fact is written in all the books, so this should come as no surprise.

We loved the Fiorentino Family's charming hospitality and treasure all of our experiences with them. We had no complaints about anything; we simply had the most amazing time during our entire stay and would highly recommend to our friends and family!
