“An unforgettable stay... again!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

After 15 years we were back to Buca di Bacco. Like all important wines, getting older made this hotel really better! Complimenti! The hotel is very well located a few steps from the beach. Rooms with enchanting flowering balconies with a breathtaking view of this lovely city and the sea. We got a room da sogno camera 34, a large room sporting blue and white costiere decor and an awesome view from it's big balcony. Wow !! Superb service done by all concierge staff very efficient and friendly: Bravissimi Roberta, Mario and Lorenzo. Great service at breakfast: nice Salvatore and beautfull and sweet Chanthal made our mornings so nice! At last but not least great houskeeping personnel le signore were always smiling and they have cleaned and made our room nicely and with care. We stayed 8 days and all days were explendid! Thanks all hotel personnel for making our stay in Positano unforgetable...again!

My husband and I have stayed at the Buca di Bacco hotel in Positano twice - once in 2008 and again in 2010. We have been to Venice, Florence, Rome and Taormina and Buca di Bacco is by far our favorite hotel and is in the most magical place on earth - Positano! If you're going to the Amalfi Coast, you must stay there. There is also a great restaurant with the most unbelievably attentive waitstaff.

What a great value ! The staff is wonderful The Chef on premises (Andrea) is charming and skilled ! Very accommodating. Order the zuppe de peshce. The front desk staff helped us select a few hikes in the surrounding mountains.
We stayed in a sweet suite and felt very lucky. We will absolutely return.
THe waiters are incredible and the history of the place adds to its charm.
Gorgeous views, well worth the walk down hill. We could hear the waves at night.
GORGEOUS bathrooms, fantastic linen and bed.

Room Tip: Though I hope it's available when we return....Suite 34 was just restored and is awesome

Can't say enough good things: staff are extremely friendly and helpful, like, honestly the nicest, sweetest, most genuine hotel staff I have ever come across (and I've traveled a lot). Amazing attentive service, great food, the hotel is beautiful and immaculately clean, location could not possibly be better, and I only paid 250 euro a night for my amazing room overlooking the beach with a private balcony and beautiful bathroom. I'm in love and definitely coming back here!!

We spent three nights here this time last year. A lovely hotel on the beach. Staff were very polite and helpful (Mario and Maria). They assisted in arranging ferry to Capri, and organising local boat tours. The room wasn't too spacious, but big enough for a couple. The buffet breakfast provides plenty of choices, with interrupted view of the water. The only thing to be aware is that to get to the hotel, you need to carry luggage down for a few hundred meters, as cars cannot drop you to hotel front steps. Overall a delightful experience for us.

Recently had the pleasure of spending 2 nites at this beachfront hotel in Positano. Great views with very nice rooms that were immaculate and a bargain for this area.

All staff were very helpful in the hotel and their attached restaurant. Fiorella from the front desk and Chantal from the breakfast room staff were outstanding as they went over and above what is normally expected to make my stay most enjoyable.

We absolutely loved our stay at Buca di Baco! The location was perfect. Every single member of the staff was friendly and helpful. We felt so comfortable, relaxed and welcome. The view from our balcony was incredible and breakfast was delicious. The entire place was spotless and smelled great. Wouldn't even think of staying anywhere else. It was just heavenly. We think about it fondly everyday and can't wait to go back.
