“A Real Gem on the Amalfi Coast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

We stayed here for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon trip to Italy. We absolutely loved Positano and were made up with Hotel Savoia. From the moment we checked in we were made to feel extremely welcome and the ladies at the Reception desk gave us plenty of advice on where to eat and day trips etc. When we arrived at our room we were surprised with a knock on the door and a bottle of bubbly as a little gift from the Hotel as it was our honeymoon. The views from the balcony were stunning and the room was spacious and very clean. The location of the Hotel is ideal and you can easily access the town and the beach as well as boats to take day trips to Capri, Sorrento or to a small bay in the rocks. Perfect!! Breakfast was great and there was plenty. We even enjoyed breakfast brought to our balcony one morning which was fantastic. We were sad to leave Positano and Hotel Savoia but we know that we will most definitely be returning soon. An all round wonderful Hotel, we would thoroughly recommend this place!

“LOVED This Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

We stayed in Positano for 4 nights as part of our 25th Wedding Anniversary trip to Italy and we would say by far this was our favourite spot. The hotel was incredibly clean and the view was second to none. Emila, at the front desk was absolutely wonderful! She helped to arrange a trip to Capri for us and every day would give us recommendations on where to eat dinner - all of the restaurants she suggested were fantastic. She certainly added to our wonderful Positano experience. This hotel is located on the main street within walking distance to the beach and lots of shopping. Breakfast was very tasty and offered lots of variety. Thank you Hotel Savoia and Emilia for ensuring that we will definitely be back to stay at your hotel again!

“When can I go back?! Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

I couldn't have found a nicer hotel or better location! A wonderful value! Friends had recommended that we visit Positano and I lucked into finding Hotel Savoia, centrally located in the heart of the village, convenient to everything, including the coastal bus. The staff was unfailingly nice and helpful from the beginning of our communication weeks in advance at the booking stage as well as during our stay. We weren't expecting it, but what a romantic location and hotel.

Having asked for a room with a view to town and the ocean, we got exactly that in room #402. Our spacious room was on the building's corner on its top floor and so had views to the town built into the cliffside as well as the ocean. The bathroom was spacious and beautiful as well. At night we loved sitting with the french balcony doors open with a glass of wine, watching the twinkling lights on the hillside. And don't worry about being on an upper floor because there is an elevator. In mid-October it was warm enough to sleep with the balcony door open so we got the breeze, the lulling ocean sound and diminished street noise from below.

Breakfast is served in their 2nd floor bar and balcony. We found the expected offerings of breads, fruit, yogurt, cheese, and meat. All were fresh and very tasty. Generally an excellent spread.

When can I return!? This was the best hotel of my Italian adventure!

Room Tip: I recommend the rooms on front on upper floors so you can get the better views, breezes and less str...
