“Not bad for the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

Posa Posa is clean and well maintained, rooms and decore were on the adverage side. For the money it is ok, but is a fair hike from the beach.
Look out of extra charges...they tryed to charge us for hot water to make a cup of tea with, and they also charged us for making a phone call with a phone card!! (which is a fee call for them)
There is a few really nice resturants close buy like next2 whice was a plus, but if you not up for a hill cilmb every day stay closer to the beach you won't miss anything amazing.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors are better as the first two floors feel like you are on the street.

Second time visiting positiono altho it's a beautiful place very very busy and overcrowded not very relaxing, stayed at hotel Posa Posa this really is not a four star hotel, we had a junior suite which was very bare, a very old jacuzzi which sometimes worked, their is no bar at this hotel they use the roof garden as it was raining we couldn't use it, also the so called swimming pool is on the roof and is only a plastic dirty hot tub, with cold water, With rusty garden furniture which looked very dirty, the staff are great, the so called gym is in reception in the computer room so it's not a gym, I cannot see how this hotel can be a four star it's very tired and basic but expensive, hotel more li,e a three star. Last time we stayed a la gavi. But it is a long way out of town, great restaurants in positano especially. max's in the town.

Room Tip: Don't know a lot of guests kept changing rooms!

Beautiful location, nice accommodations and shady management. After being told in an advance email that wifi was available, I was told there was a $10.00 charge when I asked for access. When I questioned, the Manager said "Don't pay it if you don't want". We asked to settle our bill the night before checkout and saw a $100.00 charge. We were shocked and then told at a buffet breakfast my husband had knocked over a pastry cover and this was the charge. This was a cheap $10.00 plastic dust cover and no one had said a word at the time. We were then told that if we had dinner at the restaurant that perhaps an adjustment could be made. No thanks! Too bad because Positano is a fabulous area with wonderful restaurants, people and I'm certain more reputable hotels.

We came here at the recommendation of our travel agent for our honeymoon. We stayed for 4 nights (5 days) and had a great time. The hotel is decorated nicely, clean, with nicely-sized bedrooms and bathrooms. Our room was a 1bd/1bth with terrace on the 5th floor which offered amazing views of Positano. The breakfast is 'average' by American standards, but does fill you up. The restaurant (4th floor, where all meals are served) has amazing views from the terrace which you can enjoy your meal on (or drinks during their happy hour), while checking out Positano and the ocean! All of the staff were very nice and helpful. In particular, Giuseppe and Lucia (took care of the restaurant and any needs we had during our stay) were very nice, caring, and wonderful to chat with during the day. They offered great recommendations for dinner at the hotel restaurant and in town as well as sights to see. We highly recommend this hotel to others and if staying in Positano, would stay here again due to the setting, views, price, service, and proximity to other restaurants and the beach (very convenient; short walk to beach)

Room Tip: Ask for room with a view (preferably a terrace); you will not be disappointed!

This was supposed to be a four star hotel. We've been traveling for a month through western and eastern Europe and this is the worst hotel to date (WITHOUT A DOUBT). The best part — It's in Positano— fantastic. But the service is horrendous. The front desk is beyond rude and when we needed help with travel arrangements they did not help and were condescending. And the room while spacious, is like a bad Florida remake of the Golden Girls. It also was on a bend in the road, far from town, which seemed to be a favorite hangout for locals who smoked all night below, their cigarette smoke making it impossible to keep the window open. The internet was 10 euros and the connection was spotty at best. Two star hotel at the most.

A very small hotel that has exceptional service. As soon as you walk out of your room in the morning they are cleaning it. The staff is VERY nice and very helpful. Pack your walking shoes as Posatano has a ton of steps or hills to climb.
