“Doesn't Get Any Better Than This!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

We stayed at Mamma Rosa's the last week of May 2014. What an amazing holiday. What is there to say about Angelo that hasn't already been said. He went out of his to arrange restaurants, boat trips, wine tasing, pasta making with Mamma Rosa & Melania, researching train & bus schedules and the list goes on and on. He truly made us feel like we were part of family and always had a big smile on face waiting to assist us. Yes there are 200 stairs but so worth the climb!!!. Views from your room are spectactular and pictures don't do it justice. Angelo & Melania really made our trip to the Amalfi Coat memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. Thanks Angelo & Melania hopefully one day I'll be back for a visit.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mamma Rosa B&B. Angelo and his sister were the perfect hosts. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite right next to their home, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast outside on the patio every morning, with fresh fruits and other delicacies right from their garden. Angelo knows the area extremely well. We were directed to the best restaurants in both Montepertuso and Positano down below. No issues getting around. the bus that goes around the island stops right at the foot of the b&b and will take you down to Positano and the beach in 15-20 minutes. GORGEOUS VIEWS. Can't express this enough, the views were breathtaking and the pictures don't do it justice. You feel right at home at Mamma Rosa, couldn't recommend it more.

Room Tip: Ask for the 1 bedroom suite next to the bed & breakfast. Private and spacious. Balcony overloo...

This was a memorable experience! Angelo and his lovely family are the warmest hosts, providing great service and advice to make our stay the best possible. Watching the sun set on Positano from this amazing perch in Montepertuso calms the sole. We loved swimming in the Mediterranean and really enjoyed strolling in Positano, however to escape the activity with a short bus ride up the hill was a real benefit. We slept very well and woke to peaceful countryside sounds. We were so impressed by the history and pride of the hard working people of the area. One of favourite dining experiences in Italy was at the La Tagliata just a short stroll up the road. I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. Unforgettable!
Thank you, Angelo, Melania and Mama Rosa.

Room Tip: Every room is excellent.

Spent two nights here as a couple in July 2014. The view from the room's balcony was amazing and we enjoyed the relative quiet from being out of Positano itself. We had a delicious lunch (including two ice cold Nastro Azzuros) prepared for us by Angelo when we arrived as most of the restaurants would have closed by that time. We also had a fantastic three course dinner made from ingredients from the B&B's vegetable garden. Angelo and his family were the perfect hosts and I highly recommend this B&B. It was one of the best places we have stayed at, ever.

The one small downside is that you need to take a bus for 30 mins to get here from Positano, and the bus only leaves once an hour and is often very crowded.

We had a wonderful stay at mama rosa's. It has been the cleanest and most comfortable accomodation in our travels so far. The views offered are amazing and really add to the whole experience. Breakfeast was delicious and Angelo was very helpful and friendly during our stay. You can tell they love what they do and will go out of their way to make you feel at home. Our only regret is not having stayed longer!

During our entire time at Mamma Rosa's we received first class service with a family setting. Angelo and his family made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The views, the food (breakfast every morning with fresh fruits from their garden, warm croissants, and cappuccino - we couldn't have asked for better accommodations or hospitality. We enjoyed getting to speak with Angelo and learn more about him and the family which made our stay feel like we were rooming with friends more than guests at a B&B.

There are stairs to get up to the B&B from the road, but it's well worth the climb. With a 10 minute bus into Positano, 3 restaurants and a market within walking distance, the location was the best of both worlds. We stayed in the newly renovated apartment that had everything you needed. They were great to offer up advice regarding things to do, best beach areas, food, etc. They truly went out of their way to make it a home away from home and we can't say thank you enough for making our first visit to Positano so memorable.
