We had a most wonderful stay at the Villa Rosa. Valeria, the manager was so helpful and made us feel especially welcome. Our room was clean, though a little basic, but the view from the large balcony made us feel pampered. The continental breakfast was everything it should have been. There was plenty of hot water, and great water pressure in the shower (quite a contrast to my experiences during previous stays in Italy at other hotels).

I stayed at the Villa Rosa for two nights, and did not want to leave. The service was excellent, and the views were amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast served on the balcony was the highlight, with the most amazing views over the town. I dont have one complaint about this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone! thanks!

Our stay at Villa Rosa was absolutely fabulous. Our son 'popped the question' and became engaged while we were there, the most perfect and romantic place. Villa Rosa supplied the champagne for the happy couple to celebrate.
We cannot praise the staff at Villa Rosa highly enough. Velia, Enzo (the best hot chocolate) & Angela, always happy and made our stay extremely memorable.
The rooms were always very clean and tidy and most importantly, all facilities were in proper working order.
We will return for sure.

We spent 2 nights at the Villa Rosa in October 2005. I believe we had room 39 which accommodates 4 people (2 bedrooms, 2 baths) and has the BEST terrace in the pensione! The staff was amazing and anticipated what we would need (carrying luggage, calling taxis or porters) and the ladies at the front desk all spoke amazing English.

The room was immaculate (as were the hallways and 70+ stairs leading to the room). The bathrooms had all the soaps, towels, etc you could need. The rooms were cleaned each day and the beds were turned down. The rooms were spacious and decorated modernly.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is on the main street but it is quiet at night. You can walk up or down the hillside paths in no time. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. There is also parking across the street if you should need to park a car (for a price).

The view from the terrace is absolutely breathtaking and worth more the price at the hotel. You will basically get the postcard view of Positano on your balcony.

Breakfast in the room or on your terrace overlooking the sea - what more can you ask for? It was punctual and delicious... we could smell the croissants baking in the morning (yum) and the coffee was tasty too.

Praises for Villa Rosa. Everything was perfect and our stay here set the stage for our wonderful Italy vacation.

I concur with all the other rave reviews of this place. After a rough trek from the U.S. including my fainting on the transatlantic flight, our luggage getting lost at our Munich connection (delivered after 3 days) and our inability to understand the signage which made finding the A3 difficult on a few hours sleep...anyway, after all that, to be shown our room (39) was sheer paradise. What a perfect antidote to a horrible day. Wonderful suite, wonderful views, terrace.

Only slight ding is that our croissants seemed to be burnt every day.
