“A must if staying in Positano”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

This was a return visit to this beautiful hotel where we were greeted like family, wonderful setting but extra special staff. Rosita is a true gem at the heart of this very special hotel. Spectacular views over the bay and lovely big terrace to relax. A must if your staying in Positano

For our first time in Positano a little inside info was key. Rosita was the perfect person! She welcomed us like family and then proceeded to give us a map and lay of the land...everything from restaurants and places to grab snacks when the restaurants are closed (alot are closed between lunch and dinner) to shops to options for beach chairs.
The breakfast is full on legit. I have nothing to compare it to in Positano, but so often complimentary breakfasts are shabby efforts. Miramare's was fantastic with tons of options, available from 8am to 11am, but willing to accomodate earlier (like on the day we had to leave).
Our experience in Positano was fantastic and everyone in the town was so friendly but Rosita tops the list!

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the apartments. Apparently they are renovating them soon. Ours was a little ol...

We stayed in the Miramare for 5 nights with friends. Rosita and the rest of the staff could not have been more helpful or welcoming. The rooms with terraces overlooking the bay had spectacular views and were clean light and airy. Room service was good and breakfast provided a wide selection of cakes, fresh fruit and ample supply of coffee. The steps up to the road and down to the beach are pretty steep but it is still very conveniently located for the shops, restaurants and ferries situated in the hub of Positano. The porter is amazing, carrying all our 4 suitcase down the steps in one go!!! We would definitely return to the Hotel Miramare.

Room Tip: Check out the layout of bathrooms as some do not have an overhead shower only a hand held unit in t...

We loved our stay at Hotel Miramare! The room was nice-a bit small-but who spent any time inside when we enjoyed the fabulous spacious terrace with breathtaking view! The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious with a selection of hot and cold foods. The hotel has so much charm and character, even the hallways are beautifully decorated! Friendly and helpful staff. The complimentary boat ride along the coast to Amalfi was a memorable experience. Everything was perfect!

We stayed at Hotel Miramare for 5 nights during our honeymoon. The hotel is very nice, but the view from our terrace was phenomenal! We spent many hours lounging on the terrace drinking wine and enjoying the view. The hotel is also in a great location - about 130 steps up to the main road with restaurants, shopping, etc. and about 200 steps down to the beach area and other shops and restaurants. The service at the hotel is excellent, especially Rosita who gave us great restaurant and activity recommendations during our stay. Will definitely return here again!

I stayed here on my honeymoon and we could not have picked a better place. The hotel is beautiful and our room had a great view overlooking the water. The breakfast was delicious...and we took advantage of the hotel's boat for a 3 hour (free) tour around Positano. The staff could not have been more helpful. They made recommendations about restaurants and activities, arranged dinner reservations, and answered any question we had. We felt at home and had an amazing stay in Positano!
