First off - the staff at this hotel are great. Extremely helpful.
The hotel itself is what you'd expect in Italy for a 3 star. No complaints there.
It is right at the top of Positano, so be prepared for some serious uphill/downhill walking (or take the 700-odd steps!) - worth it for the view though.
BUT - their wifi policy is stuck in 1992. We got 3 hours total (for a 220-euro a night room!), and it only worked with one device. We had to ask (quite hard) for 2 more (2 iphones + ipad) - didn't get one for my kindle. And you have to manually log out via http://1.1.1.1 or your 3 hours just disappear (which is what happened to my partner). I wouldn't stay again specifically because of this policy.

Room Tip: Go for deluxe with a sea view - otherwise it's not worth all those stairs!

A neat little hotel located on the uphill side of Positano to the west. You should be in good shape as you need to walk from the center of town up hill about 1/2 mile to the steps that lead to the hotel. You have 61 steps up from the one way street to the front door of the hotel -

But once there you have a great little hotel - great views from all rooms with a balcony/patio overlooking Positano and looking west.

There are several good restaurant near the hotel located on the one way street with terrific views of the water and the lights of Positano and the Amalfi coast.

David M

Room Tip: I believe that all have a views of the coast and water to the east.

Great Hotel, great aspect to encapture the best views of Postano and its South Coast, the beach and what is happening down below. The moment we arrived we went to one of the Parking areas and were instantly directed to the Casa Albertina parking, which was easy. The driver then drove us down to the hotel, took our car away to be parked during our stay and Roberto, the hotel porter carried our bags up some 60 steps. The hospitality was excellent, hotel very clean, breakfast delightful with outstanding views from our room. Would not hesitate to stay again. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Get one with a balcony view - pay extra - it is definitely worth it.

Our family had the pleasure of staying at this delightful hotel a few weeks ago (June 2012). What a beautiful property and great location! We had adjoining rooms overlooking the sea with a balcony having incredible views. Breakfast on the terrace was wonderful and the staff so helpful and kind. Bathrooms were large and the rooms nicely appointed and decorated. Cannot wait to return for our 25th anniversary in 6 years : )

My husband and I stayed at Casa Albertina in May, 2012. The service was wonderful. View from our balcony terrific. Only problem, it was 75 steps to the hotel from the street. Front desk helped us with our luggage up the steps. When we missed the sign for the hotel, they came down and got us at the neighborhood store. Breakfast was simple, but good served on a terrace overlooking the water. Good location in a beautiful town.

Room Tip: Go for a sea view, worth the extra cost.

I had the pleasure of staying at this delightful hotel for 3 nights in October of 2010. As the owner of All Bright Travel, I have sent many clients here and all reviews were excellent. From the personal greeting of Lorenzo to his staff, all were so welcoming. The views were amazing from the balcony or terrace rooms. Clients have gone back to Positano year after year and became friends with Lorenzo, the proprietor. During the many years my clients have traveled to Casa Albertina, not one of them told me that there are over 60 stairs to climb to the hotel.
I understood this when I opened my terrace door and was overwhelmed by the sights.
I only regret that this year when I take a group of clients for a pre-cruise side trip to Positano, I will not be able to make reservations at Casa Albertina......the stairs would prove to be too
difficult for many in my group. We will be staying at a hotel near the Beach and I will write a review some time in November when we return..........again, thank you Lorenzo for making me and my clients feel at home.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a terrace room, it is well worth it !!
