“Great fish”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Lucky to get in as we hadn't booked. The restaurant is beautiful with indoor, covered and outdoor areas. Staff quietly efficient and food excellent. I had a fish trio to start which was inventive and very good, to follow fish baked with potatoes in white wine, a mediterranean classic and at Max cooked to perfection, the best main course of my 9 day trip.

“Great wine list and upscale dinning”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013 via mobile

It was a great dinning experience if you are looking for up scale dinning and an upscale atmosphere. The wine list was very detailed but a bit over priced. We had to send one bottle back because the wine had spoiled. For the price I would have expected them the check the wine before ( you could smell it was spoiled) offering it for tasting. The food was great and the specials where featured on a tray so you could tell it was fresh and as local as possible. Expect to pay 150 to 200 for a couple. It was worth the price.

“Refined restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

Max is a more upmarket restaurant. We went there for lunch. They only offer an a la carte menu. The service was not overly friendly. Food was good and well prepared. The pasta is home made and they offer the fish of the day. It is expensive. We had a main course, a glass of wine and an espresso and the bill was over 80 euros.

“Beautiful setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

The food is a little more refined than other places. Very good, very pricey for seafood, service was slow that night. My dish was so so, others in the party loved their plates. Would try it again since the atmosphere was special.

“Keep on walking”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

Overpriced average dining experience, Italy has so much better to offer for so much less. The cheapest bottle bottle of red wine on the wine list is 30 euro for a local wine.
