Description: The Mediterraneo is a little family run restaurant where we will take care of our guests in a nice, romantic but unformal atmosphere. We try to keep traditional flavors and recepies as first of all we do like eating.Using fresh seasonal products, we like to cook fish specialties, vegetables and "al dente" home-made pasta, the same way our grandmas used to.The right location for pre-wedding lunch. It's mostly a nice place where you can sit, eat and drink well, discussing of art or listening to good napolitan live music. Enzo always organises art exibitions, books presentation, wine tastings and music evenings.

“Good food, perfect location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

The restaurant was recommended by our hotel owner, Carlo from Pensionne Maria Lusia. Later we came to know that Carlo was a relative of owners here.at the hotel.

The hotel guys were really cool and friendly, with some real good food to offer. The home made pasta with tomatoes and basil tasted real well.Being vegetarian I was pleasantly happy to have something other than bread :)

They charged extra for water and table service which was a little letdown. With 1 dish per person the bill came around 30 euros which was our highest lunch expense for the 17 day trip to Europe.

P.S. : We had a view of this restaurant from our hotel and we could see that the place was all geared up with music and lights in the night. A perfect romantic dinner location for you :) Catch up a dinner here if budget isn't a constraint else pickup a 4 euro sandwich and a equally priced wine bottle from the grocery store 5 minutes walk from here and enjoy your meal at you hotel terrace.

“Like a Sunday Family Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

The energy, food and selection are fantastic. Lorenzo runs a fantastic establishment and the variety of dishes are out of this world. Be sure to order the grilled shrimp antipasti, scialatelli with eggplant and pomodori and of course the fragola di bosco cake for dessert! Their meloncello is to die for!

“The most fun I've had in years.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

During a 10 day visit to Positano, we ate at Ristorante Mediterraneo three times. After our first visit, co-owner Lorenzo Esposito told us that the following night there would be some good entertainment, and urged us to consider coming back. We took him up on his offer, and the entertainment was not only good, it was GREAT. Pietro Rainone, a singer/guitarist, roamed around the restaurant singing Italian favorites for all of the guests. Lorenzo the Magnificent, with his booming baritone voice, occasionally joined Pietro in song, providing all of us with a wonderful and entertaining evening. Not only was the entertainment great, but the food was excellent. Tonight's appetizer special was zucchini flowers stuffed with cheese - mouth-watering and tasty. We topped the night off with complimentary shots of limoncello, and went back to our villa quite happy. We made one final visit on our last night in Positano, to experience the wonderful cuisine one last time, and say goodbye to our new-found friends. I would go back to Positano if for no other reason than to eat once again at this fine (and fun) restaurant.
